As in many places literally anyone can hang out a shingle and call themselves a "home inspector", with zero qualifications, that's why I added the "quality" limiter.

I would think that a quality home inspector would at bare minimum have: A drain scope The detector that goes with a drain scope to determine its location in the drain A thermal camera (handy for finding issues with insulation and water leaks)

A few homes that I saw in the Charlotte, North Carolina area were built with the master bedroom on the ground floor, near the entrance from the garage. That seemed really practical for someone who is planning on growing old in a house. They were in a subdivision that was built around 2000.

I don't think so. I would have played whatever game it was in something like 1979-1980, but Blue Max appears to have been published in 1983. I did a quick image search and from what I remember the cover art looked like Knights of the Air, by Avalon Hill, but I can't find a published date for it...
