hahaha! Maybe I should have but I know the player (and her character) aren't the type to withhold healing when it'll impact the party. In my groups where that's the case I wouldn't have intervened... And wouldn't have needed to. ;)

*heh* Actually I often run "DMPCs". To me these are just NPCs and I'm happy to hand them over to the players if they want a shot at them.

My PC goes into the hands of the other players... The problem with yanking the current DM's PC out each game is that you can resource starve the party. Especially if their PC is the only character in a critical role (often defender or leader). In the end the whole party wants to stay alive...

In my weed phase (thank god that's far behind me) I tried DMing stoned. That was not a good thing. I played stoned a couple times too but same deal. Light social drinking is allowed at my table but I personally don't drink more than 1 std drink per hour. And the players are pretty sensible...

There's lots of ways and I guess it depends on how well prepared the captor is for that particular prisoner too. Here's one example with the Infernal Warlock example. If he's unconscious he can't use his powers. And if he's lowered, while unconscious, into a 1,000 foot stone pit he won't...

If you really want to use KotS then I strongly suggest one of the "KotS Remixes". I used http://web.comhem.se/mwester/Shadowfell/Documents/H1-H3_Orcus_Conversion.pdf Had I found it at the time I would have just as likely used The Alexandrian - Keep on the Shadowfell.

Two level 3s will likely get slaughtered. Now if each of the character has some kind of hireling, familiar or such... Consider the Rage Drake one, now you just need another. If your friend doesn't play a healer maybe make the extra one a Cleric.

PS. I'm gonna pretty them up by tinkering with colours and shading over the next few days. if anyone has any graphics/logos/whatever they think might look snazzy please do let me know.

I dunno. I still think the wording of the rules strongly suggests that a 0 square teleport is a "null move" - effectively consuming an action with no noticeable effect. Certainly a lot of food for thought tho!
