    Cortex Prime Community License v2

Good on Fandom for listening to its customer base and fixing issues. I've messed about with Cortex and its a solid system so more content is always welcome and these changes should make that happen.

    The Batman (spoilers)

I have not yet seen the movie so this is more Batsy in general It makes sense that his social skills other than scary would be weak . Batman is as crazy as his rogues . Also while the comics call his disguise "millionaire playboy" this never made sense to me. Its too time consuming to be Batman...

D&D 5E The Next D&D Book is JOURNEYS THROUGH THE RADIANT CITADEL

WW games are seriously dark. Ravenloft had its moments though.

D&D 5E The Next D&D Book is JOURNEYS THROUGH THE RADIANT CITADEL

I'm a bit behind the recent releases to be honest and my idea of what is dark might be a bit darker than some. So , I stand corrected.

D&D 5E The Next D&D Book is JOURNEYS THROUGH THE RADIANT CITADEL

I think the guys in charge of D&D think that a lot of younger players either prefer cozy D&D or are triggered by seriously dark and scary themes. I don't think is true but than I don't have their market research.

D&D 5E How do societies communicate across distances in your world?

Couriers , messengers, travelers carrying letters or messages and carrier pigeons with an occasional Signal Fire Tower. Adventurers and Important People might have access to magic sometimes. Things like Heliograph Towers have been experimented with but they are generally too expensive and...

Dragonlance DRAGONLANCE LIVES! Unearthed Arcana Explores Heroes of Krynn!

Lunar Sorcerer fits nicely with the Moon oriented Witch I use . The rest are too niche and I am not liking Kender as supernatural fae though its logical.

The 25 Best Sci-Fi Movies of the Last 15 Years

I've only seen four of those and so will pass on egregious. I don't have enough samples for comparison. The ones I saw were Pacific Rim , Blade Runner Inception and Interstellar Reviews in brief PR. An international/China market folk and meh BR. Overrated but pretty. IN. Didn't care for it...

    WotC Can we salvage Toril?

I agree though 1E OA actually went to the trouble of hiring Japanese scholars from Japan as consultants. That was very unusual for the time and lead within limits of expectations to a better book. Still the culture ethnography and expectations of the US in the 1980's were so different that...

D&D General What is the Single Worst Person or Entity in Your World/Campaign?

The Fallen One who is basically an expy of the Abrahamic Devil via Rudolph Steiner has to be the winner, although his human servants are mostly just as awful. The #2 "Big Bads" would be the Skeleton King and his apprentice the Witch Queen who have a Skeletor, Evil Lyn thing going on.

D&D General Real Life Isle of Dread?

(+) Gaming in historical settings and dealing with values of the era

This is the sound and uncomplicated way to deal with the issues. Talk to each other like adults, make sure everyone is on the same page. If one player isn't dis-invite them from THIS game but bring them in on one they'd like. This is basic GM leadership stuff I honestly thought everyone knew...

D&D 5E Don't play "stupid" characters. It is ableist.

I'm not sure who ad-hoc is gaming with but in decades of gaming I've seen odious gamers very rarely except among young male teens where all of us thought it was the height of humor. These days I'm not interested in playing with gross or rude people either but on the very rare occasion it...

D&D 5E Charm, the evil spells

We regard narcissistic manipulation, gaslighting, DARVO and such as Evil in real societies. So is any malicious Witchcraft and the reality of it is irrelevant. Many parts of the world still kill suspected Witches. Note Witch here used in its traditional form as user of harmful spells not the...

    D&D General Inherently Evil?

As annoying as it is, you need a good grasp of metaphysics and religious teaching in your game before doing this, since you have to define evil in your campaign first. After that you can develop a rationale for why this species behaves in that fashion . To note also , both creators of...

D&D 5E Ritual caster: can they create or use scrolls?

So would I. It feels on brand for "ritual book guy" to make written magic items.

Pathfinder 2E Paizo drops use of the word phylactery

Its probably for the better since no one can pronounce phylactery anyway.

D&D General What Magic Items do you like?

Weapon, armor, things with either no charges or x charges per day no limit. I especially like things that make me harder to hit. This way I'll use them and not hoard them for a day that never comes.

D&D General Are Hit Points Meat? (Redux): D&D Co-Creator Saw Hit Points Very Differently

Its kind of an odd situation. Historically it wasn't rare in fights for people to take horrendous even lethal hits and keep on fighting. Mutual kills were also pretty common though few games have rules any such things I know of a real life situation in which a female police officer was shot...

D&D General Are Hit Points Meat? (Redux): D&D Co-Creator Saw Hit Points Very Differently

It could be either In those days a certain amount of realism was assumed to be the default and so many systems limited physical strength or other purely physical stats for female human characters compared to males. It often wasn't a serious limit, in AD&D for example it as a maximum...
