I have always suspected when reading interviews with the EQ designers that they wanted a huge backstory and definite feel to Norrath that I think the game and the players of the game just didn't really support. I wouldn't be surprised to see a big difference in this product and the "real" EQ...

I think that at the time, Dungeon Master was probably supposed to be a Halfling (if he was intended to be anything at all) because Gnomes always looked like little jolly Dwarves. Given the more modern take on these races though, I think he is much better represented as a Gnome now.

As a DM, how do you go about distinguishing between the hordes of humanoid monsters out there (Orcs, Goblins, Hobgoblins, Kobolds, Bugbears, Gnolls, etc.). The MM sure doesn't give you alot of background info. :rolleyes:
