    Space: 1999 Coming From Modiphius

Space 1999? I want to play the guy who has an inappropriate workplace romance with Computer!

    Worlds of Design: Not-So-Friendly Fire

I use friendly-fire, but sparingly. The goal isn't added 'realism'. It's to give the player an interesting choice. When PCs shoot without a clear line of fire there'a a chance they hit an ally. I smile, remind them of this, and say, "don't roll low".

Spoilers Star Wars: The Acolyte [Spoilers]

I think they were going for the emotional jiujitsu chop of a Joss Whedon cut to commercial and pretty much succeeded.

Spoilers Star Wars: The Acolyte [Spoilers]

OK, this episode was great. Give the showrunner a crack at Kreia. She’s said in interview she wants to do Knights of the Old Republic (II).

Spoilers Star Wars: The Acolyte [Spoilers]

Much better than last episode. Pros: fight choreography, Sith reveal was logical, if totally Scooby-Doo. Cons: art direction, most of the characters I like are now dead. Is Star Wars YA? I saw the original movie in a theater at age 8. Yes, always. (except Andor)

    Spoilers Doctor Who 2024 (spoilers)

Didn’t exactly make sense. Did put tears in my eyes at one point. It made the season far less ambitious in the end, but also fairly satisfying. Not bad after last weeks lackluster penultimate episode.

Is Evil Genius Games Doubling Down On NFTs & Blockchain?

@Atlatl Jones is a smart man. Or, rather, a hyper-intelligent, completely amoral pseudodragon.

D&D General Defining "New School" Play (+)

Using that definition, most of my groups have been playing in the New School style since roughly 1990. I recall my first impression after being introduced to tabletop RPGs a few years prior was, "Oh, these are games where you play the main characters of a genre novel."

Dragon Age 4 - now The Veilguard

I'm good with Dragon Age: Mass Effect. It's funny, when we started with CRPGs they rendered worlds of fantastic adventure using 2D maps and spreadsheets. Now you melt into the protagonist as a virtual body in frequently beautiful virtual spaces, with expressive facial animation and...

D&D General Do You D&D OSR?

Both my games are 5e now, but before that they were a Basic clone and 3.5e. A few years before one campaign was -- gasp! -- 4e that ran for a few years. I like a lot about the OSR material I'm familiar with. Used quite a bit of it when I last ran AD&D. In the end I think I want a bit more...

Spoilers Star Wars: The Acolyte [Spoilers]

I didn't have high hopes when episode 3 started. A flashback from their childhood? Oy. But that was pretty damn good. The Jedi are... Bester's Psi-Corp from Babylon 5? The coven of witches are using the Dark Side? Is that bad? Loved that they literally were drawing down the one of the moons...
