Experience with Decipher's Star Trek RPG

Thanks - the Decipher Coda system does read very similar to 3E. I think the reasons why I like the FASA system are partly nostalgia and partly that I like the fact that it allows you to start with a command crew of different ranking officers (using a systeam that reminds me of Traveller). This...

Experience with Decipher's Star Trek RPG

Thanks - looks like an ideal site! :) I prefer the FASA system myself . . . but want to give the Decipher system a whirl - do you have any specific issues that you think I should look out for in play?

Experience with Decipher's Star Trek RPG

I used to play the FASA Star Trek RPG and so was intrigued by the Decipher system. However, I bought the Player's Guide and the Narrator's Guide and then was distracted by 3.5E D&D. Now I've just bought the Aliens, Starships and StarFleet Operations books on eBay for a bargain price and I'm...

    New 3.xE Products in 2009

Please could you give any more details on the adventure from Monte that you have? This is the first I've heard of it!

    New 3.xE Products in 2009

I haven't heard anything to assume it's more than the combined PDFs plus errata . . . this is a real plus for me as I prefer hardcopy over PDFs for anything over about 10 pages ;)

    New 3.xE Products in 2009

I'd forgotten about C&C Of Gods & Monsters - I'll wait and hear the reviews it gets but if it's more novel than the usual listing of pantheons I'll be very interested in picking it up!

    New 3.xE Products in 2009

Just wondered what those people who are staying with 3.xE D&D are looking forward to in 2009? For me, my current list would include: Monte Cook's Collected Book of Experimental Might Pathfinder Roleplaying Game: Core Rulebook Pathfinder Roleplaying Game: The Pathfinder Bestiary Castles &...

Have You Purchased Any Additional 4e Supplements Beyond the First Three Core Books?

I bought the 4E boxed set and that has sufficiently disenfranchised me with 4E I'm happy to stay with 3.5E/Pathfinder - not that I think 4E is a bad fantasy RPG it's just too far removed from what I feel D&D is . . . :(

    OotS 609

I'm sure Rich has said before that Roy is the nearest thing to the "main character" in the strip which makes it all the more frustrating . . .

    OotS 609

I can't believe Roy has been dead for so long - it's even more frustrating than the strips where Haley spoke in code!

    Free Town of Yggsburgh Supplements

Thanks Treebore - the P&P to the UK for CZ:UW is a little on the expensive side but if it's the only way to obtain it I'll have to take the plunge! Still really sad about Castle Zagyg being taken from the Trolls . . . :.-(

    Free Town of Yggsburgh Supplements

With the withdrawal of the Castle Zagyg license from Troll Lord games I'm thinking of ordering Castle Zagyg Part II: The Upper Works direct from their online shopping site as it's seems unlikely that it'll make an appearance in UK stores. However, I was wondering what people thought of the Free...

    Night Watch and MCWoD

It is the Night Watch book - I've just started the third story and the Dark Ones have just killed a devona!

    Night Watch and MCWoD

I didn't want to get too much into the detail of the MCWoD but as it deals with improvised and rote spells it does seem like quite a good fit. Althyough I agree the Night Watch book at least seems to imply that rote is the norm ;)

    Night Watch and MCWoD

The Awakened (which I mistakenly called the Chosen) are essentially very powerful humans (in game terms think of a class with lots of bonus skills and feats) and very like the Others in flavour but they don't have magical abilities. All classes start at the equivalent of 4th level in regular...
