    Curbing Multi-classing

I set aside the initial +2 save bonuses and weapon and armor proficiencies to only apply if its your first class, the same way you only get the x4 skill points at first level. The way I see it, those things represent everything learned from their youth until they became a fully fledged member...

    Reworked Psionic Classes?

Sorry if I wasn't clear. I'm looking for variants of psionic classes for use in non-psionic settings. And for variants that make major changes besides or in addition to that. For example I was working on a variant for the pyro, which is mostly a simple change of a couple requirements. But I...

    Reworked Psionic Classes?

Hey all, I was just wondering if there are some good alternate versions of psionic classes to fit in a more traditional fantasy setting? Paticularly the Soulknife and Pyrokineticist? I'm interested in more divine/arcane approaches, and different elements in the case of the Pyro. I'm willing to...

Promoting the use of simple weapons...

What it were just one simple weapon? I'm just thinking, the requirements would be about the same as an exotic weapon feat, which are generally two "steps" better than simple weapons. Even with improved damage, a simple weapon would be only about as effective as a martial weapon. The one other...

Promoting the use of simple weapons...

Perhaps a feat to improve simple weapons would be a good idea? Something requiring martial weapon proficiency that increases the damage of simple weapons by one catagory.

Immediate-action Spell - Revised and Now Named "Kelleris's Antecedent Assailment"

Oh that's fine, I was just looking for something a bit more fun. :D Forgot about the protection though, oops. I don't think theres anything wrong with saying that the caster becomes "effectively stunned" and that normal stun immunity doesn't apply. That way he drops what he's carrying and gets...

Immediate-action Spell - Revised and Now Named "Kelleris's Antecedent Assailment"

Well if you really wanted to kill youself... I'm not sure but is it possible to CDG oneself with your own ray spell that you haven't cast yet and probably wont because if you succeed you'll most certainly fail? Heres an idea, maybe the backlash can knock you out of the timestream for...

Immediate-action Spell - Revised and Now Named "Kelleris's Antecedent Assailment"

I'm not sure about any subdual spell abilities, but the wording of KAA also makes matters complicated for critical hits and sneak attacks, which would do far more damage than would be undone. Maybe that wouldn't be so bad if it did, actually, but it still seems wierd. I assume that if a...

Immediate-action Spell - Revised and Now Named "Kelleris's Antecedent Assailment"

The time-lost crawler seems like loads of fun, useful for getting one shot items and the like. Should there be a limit on the size of the items? Or their location? Can they be alive? Can I have a boulder fall on my enemies from nowhere, or have an angry ferret suddenly appear in their pants...

Immediate-action Spell - Revised and Now Named "Kelleris's Antecedent Assailment"

That's just beautiful! :D I say all those options are great and should be valid uses of the spell. However, I suggest adding wording to the spell so that even if the caster doesn't cast it the spell slot is still lost. Otherwise you could mess with the space-time continuum for free all day...

    Leadership Feat

Rather than swapping charisma for intelligence, or adding a fraction of int bonus, why not just have the feat give a static bonus to your leadership score, and give it a 15+ int requirement or so? Seems much simpler.

Immediate-action Spell - Revised and Now Named "Kelleris's Antecedent Assailment"

Awesome spell! :) Tachyons are all well and cool, but for a fantasy setting I'd call it "A Stitch in Time" or somesuch. Shooting a ray of tachyons is sorta like stabbing a needle through time. In the case of the backlash, instead of healing the targets just remove whatever damage was...

    We are the moon.

I meant, like a solid plasma. Err... they're both normal matter transformed by intense energy... but plama is subatomic particles torn apart... and neutronium is subatomic particles fused togther... so its really the complete opposite... damn. How about if it was scattered out in space for a...

    We are the moon.

Well I usually like to know a few basics of whatever I'm talking about. At least make an attempt for reasearch. In this case, I was thinking of neutronium as just superdense matter, but appearantly its more like plasma thats not packed quite as tightly as a black hole. I still like the...

    We are the moon.

Well, thats the last time I make assumptions on matters of astrophysics. Probably.

    We are the moon.

How about something more exotic than a gas giant or brown dwarf? Like, say, a superdense chunk of neutronium, blasted off a neutron star eons past, that has somehow fallen into orbit around a normal star and aquired a life bearing moon? The orbit around such a thing could be very short, since it...

    How to tell the PCs...

Simple answer: don't use orcs. Or anything from the monster manual. Use material they've never seen, or you just made up yourself. Or even just change the names and descriptions. It won't change their biased views, but at least they'll be forced to think outside the box.

    Initiative (New Action: Rush)

What if rush was a move equivalent action instead? The cost is a bit steep, but it would effect all characters equally.

Has Final Fantasy Tactics ever been adapted to d20?

One could probably convert the job system to d20 fairly easily. That is, you could have use d20 classes as if they were fft jobs. For example you could end up with ranger as a primary job with rogue abilities, monk saves, fighter equipment, and a barbarian movement. But somehow, I dont think...

    Modular Alt Paladin: The Champion

I've heard about the dragon magazine classes, but haven't had the chance to see them. You can send the file along if you like, but bear in mind that my email is web based and can't hold too much. I'm mostly interested in any other auras, special attacks or spell like abilities they have that...
