    Modern Healing

Cool! Thank you, this could come in handy.

    Your experiences with d20 Modern?

I like it, but I haven't had the chance to do a campaign yet. The vehicle rulesa are a serious pain in the neck, but there are ways around it. I just scrapped the whole thing and rebuilt it from the rules in Dragonstar. More flexible, more common sense, easier to build in, fewer headaches...

    Need some Planar Cartography?

Don't worry, it hassn't been. Good work, friend.

    Variant Elemental Cosmology

*Jaw drops, goggles* WOW! Cool! That helps a lot.

    Variant Elemental Cosmology

Ash, perhaps. Ashes are those left where the flames have burnt away, and the region could be cold and desolate. Since most demons are immune to fire, and the devils are highly resistant, then Fire could be the battleground between the two. I also like the idea of putting thew Abyss in Ice, or...

    Variant Elemental Cosmology

Remind me again, is there a border between Fire and Ooze? Also, I think that the idea of both the Abyss and the Nine Hells in the same area allows the Bloodwar to continue without significant alteration. Responses?

    Sniper Rifles (Snipers in general)

Not a whole die. A: That's too random. B: That can penalize them, and it still doesn't really represent the idea real well. I'd give them a sniper version of Point-Blank Shot that requires 1 full round of aiming, granting +2 on both damage and the attack roll. This does stack, but it...

    Please rate the Shadowdancer

I don't use it, but I don't play that style of character, either. Average for me, but deserves a place. Useful class, and a good option to keep around.

    A specialist rogue????

A high Intelligence would be a plus, for more skill points. Skill Focus is good. Also, Dodge might be a good idea, in the spirit of the character as a flavor issue. Wise choice from a mechanics standpoint, too.

    Half-Elf fix In 3.5

The motion by Mr. Reynold is seconded. Tweak, yes. Within core rules, no. Possible inclusion as an option sidebar in revised books, maybe.

    Deadlier Guns

I would note that those 'wimpy' gun damages can wipe out a low-level party in a heartbeat. If you really need that much firepower, use a grenade. Guns don't do that much damage comparatively. Explosives do. But this is only my opinion. As I said in a different thread, it's up to the GM what...

    Running D20 Modern

I have a solution to the vehicle rules. Go find a copy of the Starfarer's Handbook for the Dragonstar setting, and use those vehicle rules. Fantasy Flight Games left those rules as OGC, so they might even be up on the web somewhere, minus flavor text. <shrugs> Anyway, the second scale listed...

    CoC Spells in d20 Modern

Also, remember the PHB, or even try Magic of Faerun from FRCS. They both have lots of great spells, and Magic of Faerun has some stuff along the lines of what you're talking about. Just tweak the levels if needed, and voila! Instant new magic for Modern! I use all sorts of D&D stuff, looked...

    [d20 Future] Campaign Setting Wishlist

The way d20 Modern handle finances in a contemporary envionmet is good. The only weird part is dealing with magic items, and GMs can glue something together if it's a problem for them. That said, I'd like to see Dragonstar (D&D setting from Fantasy Flight Games) retooled to run with the Wealth...

    Sniper Rifles (Snipers in general)

Now responding to the rest. Double Tap wouldn't work real well in a lot of sniper rifles. The GM should just glance at the descriptions of the breech for the character's weapon, and rule on it, and if it would work at that range w/o horrible inaccuracy penalites to the second shot. I can't...

    Sniper Rifles (Snipers in general)

Okay, allow me to respond to Mistwell's response to me (earlier). I haven't had time to follow this thread lately. A direct post from the Federation of American Scientists (http://www.fas.org): Maximum range :3,600 meters Maximum effective ranged: Area target: 2,624.8 feet (800 meters) Point...

    Variant Elemental Cosmology

I already am. Thank you for the support. Nifft, sorry for hijacking your thread. I did try to put it back on track at the end. Really, though, I meant what I said. Just having something to focus on, to work with, and the chance to express myself, has helped me in working through it. It...

    Variant Elemental Cosmology

Interesting. Thank you, I needed something like this right now. Yesterday morning, my paternal grandmother passed away :( . I need something to take my mind off of the grief, just to help me control it until I can deal with it, and forcing my mind to consider another subject, especially one...

    Sniper Rifles (Snipers in general)

Something else that should be mentioned is that the range increments aren't at all accurate for anything other than pistols and shotguns. The M-16, for example, has an effective range measured in thousands of feet, not 800. Also, that's probably the platoon seargeant that's been dogging his...
