I enjoyed it too... which is why I consider it as one of the best 'bad' endings I've read. It's depressing and harsh, but that doesn't stop it being an enjoyable read :)

Perdido Street Station - harsh ending. From what I remember, The Scar is more upbeat (but that's not saying much). But the latest Bas-Lag book, Iron Council, has an equally sad ending. Good, but sad... once more, things don't really end well for the 'good guys' of the story.

If it's an old demon cult, sounds like it would most likely be tanar'ri red steel. What's the module, what edition? That might help with the answer?

I'm intending to write an IKCG review myself, and think I'm heading for a good 4/5 rating. The background and flavour parts of the book are the best, but where it falls down IMO are on a few issues such as some clunky and unbalanced rules kicking around in there, a shame considering what a tight...

I'm fairly sure that the very first incarnation of abishai had all 5 colours, they had just cut two colours by the time it came round to Planescape. I don't know why, as the full chromatic selection and Tiamat affiliation is a much better idea that just green, black and red.

I'm currently working on ideas for my next PS campaign - adding and changing a few sects, slightly modifying some of the factions, places and peoples. And also working on a 'Sigil Master Document' - a huge listing that has each of the 6 wards, with details of every single place and person...

I've run two Planescape campaigns in the past, and played in one (Which I also did a little bit of GM'ing in to help the main GM out). All great fun :)
