    Wall-E

It was a lot of fun, though definitely the most geared toward younger audiences than any other Pxar movie I've seen.. For me Monsters Inc. and A Bugs Life are my two favorite offerings but this studeo never lets your down. They are so creative.

    Burn Notice

This is the only show that I can honestly say that I don't miss an episode. The stroies are great driven by both excellent characters and solid plots. The thing that was intriguing was the woven bits and pieces week in and week out as Michael gained just a little more knowledge on his "burn."...

How has the 4e/3e schism affected you?

No issues/schism here with our 12+ members gaming group. We're sticking with 3.x from here on out. There is nothing in 4e that attracts us and we've had enough of spending money on books. There are times when we will even revert back to a 1e session or two.

Might & Magic V and dual core processors

Well it seems to be doing fine with a dual core AMD Athlon 3800+. What amazed me was the amount of patches which were 7 in all at a total of over 350 mb for fixes!

Might & Magic V and dual core processors

I am about to install and play this game for the very first time. My question is are there any issues you know of that this game has with a dual core processor? I did do research but I can't find an answer to my question. Thanks.

    Need a new Laptop

Since this is going to be basically work/Office Work dual-core chips will do you fine and either AMD or Intel will do the job nicely. As XCorvis rightly states, no less than 2 gigs of RAM especially with Vista. HP is a decent brand. I bought my daughter one for college at Staples and it did...

    June: What are you reading?

Cruel Zinc Melodies - Glenn Cook I have been following Cook's fantasy noir series since the late 1980s. Unfortunately his writing has become tired and tiresome in his last three offerings. Garrett P.I. is a joke of a character any more -- and not in the fun sense. This book has its moments...

    VHS to DVD

I have a slew of VHS tapes from years ago and I want to burn their content to DVD. I have the PC system to handle video editing but I don't have a clue on what I need to transfer the VHS tapes from my VCR to my computer. So, what do I need? The only way I know is to capture them from my VCR...

4E or 3.5 or something else - what's in your future?

A good many of us have played this game just before First Edition came on the scene and we have stayed with it through 3.5. But we have come to a consensus that it stops at 3.5.

Am I Looking at a Dying/Dead Motherboard? Need Knowleageable Advice

^ Some good points there. The system continues to run stable. I think not only cleaning the register of old Nero drivers has helped but I was running this old system in a master-slave CD-ROM configuration and a HD master -slave configuration as well that I did away with. I went to one HD...

Am I Looking at a Dying/Dead Motherboard? Need Knowleageable Advice

Well it wasn't my power supply (multimeter showed this old Antec as steady as ever), my AGP slot, or my AGP card. It wasn't my HD or CD-ROM drive. In fact, the PC is up and running and I am not qiuite sure how. A tech friend of mine came over and we unhooked everything except the sound...

How did you get your Wii?

Family and I were sitting together at the Mall eating lunch in late August of last year. My son wanted one of these for a long time but he was settled on the fact that most likely the soonest he would get it would be sometime in 2008 because trying to get one was near impossible. As we're...

Am I Looking at a Dying/Dead Motherboard? Need Knowleageable Advice

I know this forum isn't a tech site per se, but as I have said in other posts I often find just as good advice here as I have in other designed tech websites. So... I will try to keep shorter than War and Peace. My second rig is a Pentium 3 system that is 6+ years old ASUS TUL2-C mobo...

Thomas Covenant - Runes of the Earth

I , too, loved the first 6 books of the Thomas Covenant series. And I had an almost 100% opposite reaction to The Mirror of Her Dreams. It was like, "Is this the same guy that wrote the Covenant Chronicles?!?" His style changed.

Configuring CD-ROM Drive from Slave to Single Configuration

Yeah, is that ever true. But this is an old P3 system and its IDE. It has been rock solid for 6 years but recently it has become unstable. I had a serious 0x35 error crash and now I can't even boot into the BIOS. The monitor screen remains black. The error beeps state it is my graphics card...

Configuring CD-ROM Drive from Slave to Single Configuration

I have an old P3 system that I let my son use for internet browsing, email, etc. It has been rock solid for 6+ years until lately and I think the issue of not booting properly is that the master CD-ROM gave up the ghost. And so I took that out hoping that is all it will take. Here is my...

    Am I the only one?

QFT! My first was a girl and it may sound like a cliche' but honestly she made me a better man. Being a dad, for me, is immensly satisfying.

    Am I the only one?

When your first child comes your world will expand in ways you can't even imagine at this moment. And D&D will become a mere trivial pasttime as your little one will become the center of your world. And as your wife gives birth you will be extremely thankful you are a male. :D
