    What Is/Was Your Favorite Gazetteer?

Another vote for GAZ1: The Grand Duchy of Karameikos. I own all of them, either in hardcopy or .PDF format, and I've got to say that the first in the series is the best. Like others have mentioned, it is simply the best "Points of Light" campaign setting ever written for the game. And...

    D&D: Cartoon vs. Movie

Now this is an interesting idea...interesting indeed...If they were going to do a non-animated film based on the original cartoon series, who should they cast in the different roles? I'd like to see Wallace Shawn in the role of Dungeon Master.

D&D 4E 4E, Healing, and Suspension of Disbelief

As long as we are capping the thread, I'll do you one better: Why discuss it at all? If something about 4E is ruining one's ability to enjoy the game, there are plenty of other games out there to play. 4th Edition is not mandatory even for hardcore D&D fans, so stop complaining and just go...

    D&D 4E 4E in Car-speak: "No Sale"

Maybe; it is nice to have the option. Most likely though, I'll end up using 4E for parts. It sounds like 4E's drive train has been completely redesigned. It won't have a stick shift in it, that's for certain...but I doubt it will be completely automatic either. (Slap-shift, maybe?)

    D&D 4E 4E in Car-speak: "No Sale"

There are a lot of threads floating around about the upcoming 4E, and opinions of the new edition range from deliriously ecstatic to biliously nasty and everything in between. This is the Internet, after all. Well, I like cars...to an unhealthy degree, I think. So I thought I would express my...

Eldritch Knight core class - help me build

Meh. I'm not a big fan of familiars at all, so I say no. Too bad about cutting the item creation feats. This would be a great choice for a "magic sword/armor maker" class. I'd say let him choose item creation feats as well as fighter feats, whenever he gains a bonus feat.

Eldritch Knight core class - help me build

Hmm... Spontaneous casting seems to fit the idea better. Bookworms with battle-axes? Loremasters with bastard swords? Nah. But a charismatic, unpredictable, hot-tempered dude with a rapier and a shield spell sounds good. Go with Charisma, my man.

    What do you do for...Vampires?

I hope you don't think I was trying to prove you wrong or anything, when I posted that exerpt from the book! I was hoping to spark a little interest, and trying to promote one of my favorite novels of all time. Besides...who doesn't like a free book? :) I did check your Vampyr thread, and it...

    What do you do for...Vampires?

The kind folks at Internet Archives have the electronic version of the first edition of Bram Stoker's "Dracula" available for free download. You can download it in several formats, from your browser or by FTP, at this link. Proving once again that Canadians are awesome. So with the book in...

New Use for Diplomacy - Divine Intervention

If prayer is intercession with a higher being on the behalf of one’s self or another person, it makes sense to me that a character with enough ranks in Diplomacy (and possibly the corresponding alignment, rituals, and temple membership) would be able to convince the gods themselves to help them...

    What do you do for...Vampires?

In the book (by Bram Stoker), vampires could transport magically through moonlight. So I think it would be interesting to give them the Shadowdancer's "shadow jump" ability, but they must begin and end each movement in an area with at least some moonlight instead of shadow. Also according to...

Vote On My Samurai (third edit)

I disagree. Sure the samurai has a smite ability but the fighter gets weapon specialization, greater weapon focus, and greater weapon specialization. All else being equal the fighter will have a better attack bonus and be more versatile on the battlefield. Which reminds me......props to trav...

    More Bonus Feats for Wizard

Interesting idea. I'd love to see your notes on it.
