    Move Silently while Tumbling?

Astlin that sounds like a really fun character to play. I can see why you'd want to maximize moving silently. Yeah, perhaps I'm being too hard on the rogue. I need to think about this some more. On the WoTC boards, one gent suggested raising the difficulty of the tumble check and if the...

    Move Silently while Tumbling?

In this game I'm a player but I'm normally the DM, so that's why I'm interested in how this would be ruled. Also, the other DM sometimes defers to me on rules issues, since he doesn't know them as well as I do. Am I a rules lawyer? Absolutely. We play our game as closely by the rules as...

    Move Silently while Tumbling?

Now to my next question. The rules say that you can move silently as a part of "normal" movement. Is tumbling considered "normal" movement? If it's not, then you can't tumble and move silently, you must choose one. Thoughts on this interpretation?

    Move Silently while Tumbling?

:( That's your perogative I guess, Triumph. Thanks for all the input, everyone. Though I have to say that the some of the rulings posted so far seem a bit lenient to me. Personally, I think a rogue should have a heavy penalty to move silently while tumbling, at least a -5...

    Move Silently while Tumbling?

Can you move silently while tumbling? If so, what's the penalty to the Move Silent skill check? Our party rogue wanted to do this and only suffer the -5 penalty for moving more than half his speed. We (and the DM) thought that the move silent penalty should be much stiffer, say -10 for...

I believe that Traps and Treachery has some custom poision creation rules.

Allowing a whip to threaten squares

I agree with PirateCat. I think the potential for abuse is pretty high if you allow him to threaten so far away. I'd stick to the PrC as written.

How to enforce low magic item count

I think it's cool that you're running a low-magic campaign. My next campaign will be low-magic. But I also think that it's unfair if you limit the PC's access to magic but then all the NPC enemies that they encounter have magic. Having to create weird optional rules just so that the PC's...
