    D&D 5E Two Weapon Fighting

This is actually an incredible build and quite good lahegame too with improved divine smite. Any paladin oath is good because you get divine favor/crusaders mantle which dont tie up your bonus action sowe turns. In general twf is great, you just need to build around it it is easily competitive.

Multiclass Vengence Paladin for Curse of Strahd or no?

Gotcha, with variant human you have a lot of options. Firstly Id advise gfb instead of booming because the area of effect is better if you aren't wanting them on you. That said you cannot use it as an opp attack via warcaster so that means that feat's out. In my opinion since you are starting...

Multiclass Vengence Paladin for Curse of Strahd or no?

Gotcha. What is your desired role in the group? Damage dealer, support, or tank ace the main very broad roles. P.s some of my numbers where off on the math earlier i had a lot on my plate today and that was quite rushed, I wont edit it since its been up half a day, but if youd like I can redo...

Multiclass Vengence Paladin for Curse of Strahd or no?

So at this point it vould be helpful for you to post your full build. With limited info our advice may not be applicable. Also it's not clear to me if youve played your first session or not, your first post sounded like you had but this one does not. It would be good to know a little about the...

Multiclass Vengence Paladin for Curse of Strahd or no?

Ah didnt realize you where doing a great weapon path. Gwm as a feat in general isnt very good, the bonus action swing is rare at best, and doesnt comba well with your smite spells. The -5+10 is unreliable at best and because of your smites any fight where this is useful you will not need the...

Multiclass Vengence Paladin for Curse of Strahd or no?

Sorc would definitely be my pick if you go 4/6 you get 2asi's. If youre going dex paladin they get great armor too. Even if not the +1hp is really nice. Dragon sorc would be my suggestion.

Multiclass Vengence Paladin for Curse of Strahd or no?

If you go far enough bard, warlock and sorc all get misty step and sorc/bard get haste. Personally i would advise getting to level 3pal before mc'ing after that grab greenflameblade or booming blade and you dont really need paladin anymore.

    D&D 5E Best Gish

Have a better dex? (with a shield that's still a base 15 btw) That does seem to work RAW. Probably not intended so tread carefully, the invocation for mage armor would also work albeit slower. In combat it will still recharge glacially slowly. Good find!

    D&D 5E Can the Bard out-Ranger a Ranger?

I was bringing up divine favor because that style of spell is much better on rangers, and for a 1 level dip in war cleric you can have it plus some nice cantrips ;) As far as con, if you aren't boosting con "that far" you shouldn't be in melee. That's the long and short of it, with a decent con...

    D&D 5E Can the Bard out-Ranger a Ranger?

Melee ranger is asready good? Just don't go twf. With duelist or a great weapon ww IS a great crazy attack. Hunters mark in general isnt ranger friendly, divine favor works much better. And you should have a good con if you plan to go melee, grab resilient or warcaster and youll have no issue...

    D&D 5E Best Gish

You can get the invocation for mage armor too, no concentration there either. You are also free to use a shield. I also feel like Warbarian is the better name mashup[emoji14]

    D&D 5E Best Gish

It needs to be a spell of level 1 or higter to charge yoer ward... To answer the question yes. Ive brewed an abjurer gish/tank before and its ok. The real disappointment is how long it takes nhe shield to recharge. You will really only get it once per day. You do still have full slots and good...

    D&D 5E Can the Bard out-Ranger a Ranger?

If youre never at 3+ enemies near you then you should have no problem either way, fighter might be better if you are always either even on numbers or outnumbering them bounded accuracy swings in your favor. You dont need to be optimized for 2-3 targets. Optimizing for single can be useful but by...

    D&D 5E Can the Bard out-Ranger a Ranger?

Shield and javelin setup lets you do a whirlwind atk, plus hordebreaker and on one of the last attacks you can throw the jav for lightning arrw/hail of thorns. This is a great build for tankiness that still keeps your damage online. You have aoe, cc, and even support while touting some of the...

D&D 5E How many hands does a fighter-mage type need?

I dont really see it as an issue because quite a few of the spells you wont to cast dont require materials anyway. The ones that do it's worth tho cost to cast, it makes that choice more interesting and it even makes weaponless gistes an interjsting option. That said even if you are allowing...

Right, my brain just derped on that one.

    D&D 5E Can the Bard out-Ranger a Ranger?

I think I was envisioning a 5' diameter. My bad. Moonbeam does get much better with that in mind. It's still not as good as conjure barrage, hail of thorns, whirlwind attack, or lightning arrow. As a side note youve gotten a lot more snarky and condescending lately yun. I dant appreciate it and...

    D&D 5E Can the Bard out-Ranger a Ranger?

If you center a 5' radius in 4 squaeres that's only covering 1/4 of each square. As as a player or a dm i wouldnt expect something barely in my square to hit me. Creatures occupy a 5' area, they do not fill that enitre area. Look at the squeezing rules for example.

    D&D 5E Can the Bard out-Ranger a Ranger?

Its a 5' radius circle. That's one space and one target.

D&D 5E How many hands does a fighter-mage type need?

Eldritch knights cannot use arcane focuses. They lack the class feature that allows it. They choose spells from the wizard list but they do not cast as if they were a wizard. Rangers, arcane tricksters, eldritch knights and even barbarians do not have the ability to use a spellcasting focus. In...
