Along the same lines - scroll of teleport. For when you *really* have to get the heck out of Dodge. I hadn't thought to mention that cause my party carries such items at all times.

Have you checked out Planescape factions? Just spruce up the factions as 'churches' for a final polish before you present it to your players. You don't have to tell your players where the inspiration came from. ;) For example, that law church you talked about for example? That just about...

Fly spells and/or mass fly wand - you will *need* it for caving since there may be drop offs of 300 ft or more, or sheer cliffs to climb to get to the next cave. You probably want to bring rope, harness, etc gear in case you run out of fly spells. Bring a water source. Bring a food source...
