    CERAMIC DM March 2012

Stop stealing my lines! Had me some Guinnesses tonight, in drink and in cake form (made a Chocolate Guinness cake to take to a dinner party).

    Tact-Tiles (or equivalents)

I lurve my TactTiles. I'll never give them up. Buddy of mine sold his set on Ebay to some guy in the UK for $500 a couple years ago. Paid for his trip to GenCon.

I kid, I kid. Nice story. I really liked the patter and rhythm of the dialogue, and the juxtaposition of a modern voice with a mythological story. I think it needed a resolution with Poseidon (or Jason...) to feel finished, but I know what it's like with Ceramic DM. Excellent picture use...

I'm still pretty sure I don't have any chance at all of facing you :p

    CERAMIC DM March 2012

Thanks to the judges for the feedback, and congrats to my opponent for a well-fought match and an intriguing story! Blame Hafiz/Hamiz on spell check; I inadvertently told it to skip both

    CERAMIC DM March 2012

As fondly as I look upon the 'good old days' of Ceramic DM, I certainly don't miss waiting upwards of a half hour for ENWorld to process a 2500 word post, only to crash out with 10 minutes left before the deadline.

    CERAMIC DM March 2012

Ceramic DM R1M2: The Hitchhiker Hanging upside down in the wreckage of his lander, Paz’ilik grudgingly conceded that maybe the rules were in place for a reason. He’d rushed through the pre-flight check and eased the lander from the hanger bay. Protocol called for him to awaken one of the...

That's twice what you charged to eat my meat the last time :(

    Ceramic DM?

That was a hell of a story. I think that iteration of CDM and the followup were epic. We'd been doing them pretty consistently, and everyone was at the top of their game. I pinged Berandor to let him know we were starting back up, but I didn't get a response. And I assume maxfieldjadenfox...

    CERAMIC DM March 2012

Ready. My $0.02. It works better for the judges if you stagger things by a day or two. Good judging is hard, and it usually takes a couple/few days to get all the judge feedback for a single match. If you don't stagger things, you end up falling behind quickly. Then you end up reading...

    Ceramic DM?

I'm in. I think PC and I split the last two, so this can be the tie-breaker. And for the uninitiated, the link in my .sig is (I think) the most comprehensive compilation, although it's missing the last few competitions.

    Trying out some indie RPGs...

Lots of times. FATE is a lot of fun, and it's a very flexible system. It does require a fair bit of engagement by the players -- whereas a player in a normal D&D game could get by with a 'I swing my sword/cast magic missile' level of effort, that wouldn't really cut it in a FATE game. And...
