UMBRAGIA: Realms of Shadow Volume I - People of the Realms

"People of the Realms" (version 2.0.0) is the first volume of books describing the "Umbragia - Realms of Shadow" setting published by Jagged Edge Games. It is available as free download from this site, so it can't be beaten in the "value for money" category. But don't be fooled by the "for...

UMBRAGIA: Realms of Shadow Volume II - Nations of Umbragia

"Nations of Umbragia" is the second volume dedicated to Jagged Edge Game's "Umbragia - Realms of Shadow" campaign setting. It presents an overview of the world inhabited by the various races introduced in their first game supplement, "People of the Realms". Both documents are availabe for free...

How do you feel about WOTC, the 3PP and the intent of the GSL

Let's see... I'm disapointed with the GSL and WotC (although I understand where they are coming from). I'll continue playing D&D but I'm not switching to 4E. We've tried about 6 sessions so far and it's just not our cup of tea.

Necromancer Games NOT going with current GSL.

I don't know that comments like this help much with the common ground issue.

PDF Users - how do you print?

My printer does automatic duplexing, so I always double side my prints. Then they go into a 3-ring binder.

Pathfinder 1E Rate Paizo as a Company!

I think the Paizo people recently lost of their customer service people, so things have been a little behind over there. From what I've read on their forums though it sounds like a new person has started this (or maybe last) week, so hopefully the excellent customer service will be back again...

    What Happened to Ignore?

    Ahhh! Thanks!

    What Happened to Ignore?

Just noticed this today. You used to be able to click on a poster's name and add them to your ignore list. Now you have to go to your account and manually add them to the list. Intentional?

    Pathfinder 1E Pathfinder Turning

I like the PF turning rules a lot. To me them seem like a slight expansion of the alternate turning rules from Complete Divine (which I generally liked). It's been awhile since I've looked at the Alpha (got a couple other games going on), does it address the effect that turning feats have on it...

    Pathfinder 1E Paizo cherry picks

I wish I wasn't so hidebound that I felt like I could cherrypick from Paizo products. The problem is always that I think "Man this is too good just to use this piece, my group needs to experience the whole thing!"

The Rouse and Linae Talk GSL

Strange question to ask right now. There's what? Two or three established 3PP that have signed up for the GSL? A couple who might be releasing under the GSL. Several who have said they are not going to do 4E. Better time to ask might be in October when people can actually publish for profit.

Sunless Citidel vs. Keep on the Shadowfell

Ahhh. this crazy game. I liked Sunless much more that KotS :)

Have you bought the 4E PDFs?

Nope. I'll wait to see if they get updated with errata before making any purchase. I don't like the price at all either. If my group end up going 4th edition I'll probably pick them up if they are updated at anything other than the snail's pace I've come to expect from WotC. The other deciding...

    Taking a Break

I've got to agree with the OP on this one. Sadly I don't think there is much that can be done about it. The largest problem seems to be the great divide in the 3.x and 4E fanbase. Very few posters seem to be able to take a post at face value without construing an attack on their preferred...

    The Surprise round anomally

With the lack of iterative attacks, how much would it break the game to remove the one action limit on the surprise round? My group has always complained that the surprise round (in both 3.x and what we've played of 4E) is essentially useless (unless you get to go first in the non-surprise...

PC concepts I'd love to play...

The Halfling Beserker made me laugh. I actually got to play in 4E game a week ago and made a halfling fighter who behaved like the character Begbie from Trainspotting. It was fun :) Otherwise I DM all the time, so either: A) Sadly, I can't play any character concepts, or B) Happily, I can play...

    EN World Home Page

Voted No. I find it harder to see what is actually new news. I'm assuming that there is some type of order to the page, but I find it a lot harder to see what's new, particularly in regards to new product announcements.

    Cost of Core Books PDFs

Put the errata in and I'd buy the PDFs. They're expensive, but I'm not flat-broke anymore so I can handle an extra 50 - 60 bucks for a PDF. Without errata though it's a non-buy for me.

    Anyone tried Kingsport Horror?

I've played about 6 games with Kingsport/Dunwich/Arkham and I'm sort of undecided on it. There is a lot to like. The new location cards for Arkham, the mythos/outer world cards, GOO and investigator cards are cool. What I don't like is that it seems to exasperate the economy of actions in the...

Board games you own and would recommend

Gotta agree on Arkham Horror being a great game. The co-op aspect is a lot of fun and while we've probably played 20+ games, I've never had one go the same way twice. I'm also a fan of the fact that it's difficult to win at (even more so with the various expansion packs). Descent seems like a...
