Fredrock returns to his table, confident that more work will be available soon
Looks like Willow and J'ryi will be the ones to join the Chef's Request. I don't mind waiting for the next chance. Gives me more time to settle in and get a better feel of things :)
Fredrock looks up from his ale at the mention of work. "I am in need of work myself, what else might be available?"
Looks like Willow and the other defender would be a better fit there...no need for 3 defenders in a group I would think. Tho if you need 3 more PC's I'm ok with that as well ;)...
A tall dwarf enters the tavern and looks around briefly. He has a short red beard and hair, wears obviously 2nd-hand scale mail with a dented shield on his back. A worn (or is it just old) craghammer hangs from his belt as well. He does not look comfortable in his gear, as if he is not used...
Mutants and Masterminds game. My Brick was being attacked by a young girl. As she was getting thru my defense pretty easily. We were fighting in a historic district, so to avoid damaging the near by buildings if I managed to knock her back, as I attacked full force, I told the DM that "I...

few powers get to me...Plague of Frogs for some reason is annoying...it's some of the epic feats (that should be great so I shouldn't complain really)...but you can get +6 to all your non-AC defenses with just 4 epic feats...and the paladin in my party now does, with challenge/sanction, -2...
4 slots actually..Epic Will, Epic fortitude, Epic Reflexes, and Robust Defenses.
And you can have 7 Epic feats by level 24 (3 from leveling and 4 retrains)
Not all of them have all 4 feats, but at least 2 (and possibly 3) have all of them, and everyone has at least one of the 4 defense feats...
I looked closer, and there are some mid-30's defenses in the group...but everyone has at least one 40 or over. The Epic Will/fort/reflexes along with Robust defenses gives just about everyone in the party +6 to Non-AC defenses. (why epic W/FR isn't a feat bonus i just don't know)...and then...
The party I DM is level 24 now. For quite a while, it seems that very few encounters actually challenge them at all as I can't hit with any regularity due to high defenses (every one has at least one defense, usually AC, in the low to mid 40's and the lowest is in the high 30's). Monsters of...
Maybe it was a clarification or a FAQ or something, as I'm sure it was an 'official' source that I used to determine that start of turn events happen in the order the PC/NPC wants them to happen.
Actually, I believe that you get to choose the order that things happen to you at the start of your turn. (or at the end of your turn for that matter)...that's how I've always played it at least.
It's based on tier:
Heroic tier: 1 daily item use per day
Paragon tier: 2 daily item uses per day
Epic tier: 3 daily item uses per day
in all cases, you can use one more Daily item after each milestone is passed.
(note, you can't use the same daily item more than once a day no matter how many...
Say a sorcerer starts his turn both Dazed (save ends) and Stunned (save ends) and has the power Maiden's Waking (sorcerer level 10 utility)
do you get one action or all three?
ie. can the sorcerer remove both effects (temporarily) or just one?
I thought the rule was:
If a power/ability/feat/whatever says to apply a your BONUS, then you do not apply negative modifiers, only positive ones.
if a power/ability/feat/whatever says to apply a PENALTY, then you do not apply positive modifiers, only negative ones.
if a...
note that you use your second wind, but aren't a target of the power, thus do not yourself gain the temp hitpoints
Target: Each ally in burst
and you are not your own ally (it's have to say you and each ally in burst to include you).
you still do spend your second wind and get the benifits...
Each square of movement can be reacted to separately.
Remember, there are two types of immediate actions, Reactions and Interrupts. A readied action is a REACTION. It can interrupt a move as you can react to each square they move into, thus interrupting the move action...this does not...
