    Arcane Strike: Broken?

Monk: "I channel arcane energy into my magical, lawful and adamantine nose." Edit - Sorry, but that sort of talk doesn't sit too well with Grandma.

Eye of Profane Truth - rebooted!

"It's temporary? Well, that's fine, I suppose. Just have it gone by this time tomorow." The guardswoman looks at you and your companions up and down. She pays particular attention to the tentacled yakman. "'Uglies' are what we call those bizzare monsters that come out of Viridia. No two...

    Playing an Arcane Archer

No, no. Imbue Arrows can carry an area spell, even if it normally centers on you. AMF is an area spell that normally centers on you. So shoot the ground next to your enemy's feet with an arrow imbued with AMF. Then make a Wall of Stone around him.

Eye of Profane Truth - rebooted!

You are met by two soldiers, one female and the other male, clad in light armor and uniforms. With them is what looks like a large, floating eyestalk with hands. The female guard, likely the senior of the two, scrutinises you carefully. She replys. "Yeah, we patrol here. The shadow plane...

    Playing an Arcane Archer

Don't shoot the enemies. Shoot the ground. That's what, AC10? The ability to fatigue your enemies from far away, or to put them inside an AMF that you're outside of, is pretty cool.

    Best Archer Build?

Here's some more of my Polymorph-related twinkage: Aasimar. Scroll of Polymorph Any Object. MMIII's Arrow Demon. Done and done! You will want at least one level of Cleric. The turning attempts and domain abilities are too good to pass up.

Eye of Profane Truth - rebooted!

You hear someone knocking at the door. The knock is impatient, a metallic clank against the adamantine. "Anyone home? This is the city guard. Open up!" The voice is female.

Epic D&D 3.5: The Eye of Profane Truth [full]

The group is currently paralyzed, methinks, because you are all being too timid. So what if you don't know everything? Go forth and investigate. You are more powerful than most people will ever be. Go do stuff. It won't kill you. Frankly, I don't think a stronghold will do you much good...

    Playing an Arcane Archer

Best thing about Arcane Archer is obviously the Imbue Arrow. I wouldn't take it past 2nd level, myself. Best spell to use with it is Antimagic Field. Waves of fatigue is also pretty good. Also, by strict interpretation, casting a spell and letting loose the arrow is a standard action even if...

SRD text for definition of Bardic Knowledge: A bard may make a special bardic knowledge check with a bonus equal to his bard level + his Intelligence modifier to see whether he knows some relevant information about local notable people, legendary items, or noteworthy places. SRD text for DC...

Epic D&D 3.5: The Eye of Profane Truth [full]

The difference between information that you are 'born with' and information that you get from someone else is that the second one is possibly wrong. All sources of external information could be false. Anyone you speak to is possibly lying, or simply misinformed. I prefer a lot of paranoia in...

Epic D&D 3.5: The Eye of Profane Truth [full]

The Incense of Meditation is insanely powerful for less than five thousand gold. Especially since, by strict interpretation, it works on arcane spells as well, so long as used by 'a divine caster'. New houserule: A single block of incense, burnt for 8 hours, lets you prepare one divine spell...

Eye of Profane Truth - rebooted!

/ooc: Fair enough on the teleportation. Lore is, I think, DM discretion. You will learn useful things with it from time to time, but don't expect me to give away the plot because you rolled over 100 on the Lore roll.

Eye of Profane Truth - rebooted!

Lorgrane: you rifle through your knowledge, but soon realizes that it is futile: you have no idea where you are in the world of Samsarra, and therefore no idea where a stronghold might be found. Furthermore, perhaps it is an influence of the Eye, or perhaps it is because the Perfect has not...

Epic D&D 3.5: The Eye of Profane Truth [full]

I interpret the 'aren't removed' like this: Say you have Immunity vs fire and Immunity vs Sonic active. Because you cast Immunity vs Sonic last, you are immune to that, but not fire. If you are hit by a dispel and lose your sonic immunity, you are now immune to fire. I suppose it depends on...

Epic D&D 3.5: The Eye of Profane Truth [full]

An alternative interpretation here would be that the first sentence is simply a statement of fact, and the actual ruling starts with the second sentence. In other words, the rule applies regardless of whether a spell produces 'varying effects' at all. Hmmm... I think I like my other...

They are not variable quantities of the same effect, that is true. But this doesn't matter. The key phrase here is "varying effects". Are sonic immunity and fire immunity both effects? Do they vary? Then it is applicable.

Voidrazor: In other words, Energy Immunity makes you immune to ONE energy type, no matter how many times you cast it. Also, check your item cost total. I'm coming up with 5,009,525.

Help on a melee monk build?

Heh. Somebody quoted me before I edited my post. Check the new build. A little more twinky. The older one won't work because you can't qualify for Warshaper 2 on Monk 5 (Not enough BAB.)
