Damsel: Millie Bobbie Brown is a princess sacrificed to a dragon, and then fights back

This movie is required watching. Why, you ask? Because the beginning is a Master Class on how NOT to fight a Dragon. ( I was literally screaming when the King says 'Form a Line!". Ugh. )

I'm ready for a new Star Wars RPG

I'm of the opinion that the AGE System from Green Ronin would be a good fit. The Stunt system seems very cinematic and their magic system would adapt well to the Force, I think.

    D&D (2024) Wizard (Playtest 7)

One thing I would have loved for them to lean into would be Signature Spells. Getting them earlier and advancing options there would be a better defining Wizard ability than the Memorize Spell ability they gave them. Also, A5E did this a little better - A Specialist Archetype which can be any...

D&D 5E I want more flavorful wizard subclasses.

This was what I was thinking - Battle ( War ) Mage - Evocation & Abjuration specialist Beguiler - Illusion & Enchantment specialist Necromancer - Necromancy & Divination specialist Conjurer - Conjuration & Transmutation specialist Alternatively, you could go the A5E path - one 'Specialist'...

D&D (2024) 48 subclasses in the 2024 PHB: What are they?

If they do 4 subclasses for Wizard, I'd prefer something along the lines of how Level Up did it - Specialist ( you choose which ), Generalist, Bladesinger and Elementalist. I think this would cover all the ground necessary. Also, I don't think Hexblade is necessary for Warlock. Pact of the...

Dragonlance Dragonlance: Dragons of Deceit Review

Finished it. Thought it was good, and it hit all the member-berries. My only real criticism was that Dalamar seemed.......nice? I'm used to him being somewhat of a jerk to most, cordial to those he respects at best. IDK, maybe it's just me, but that seemed to take me out of the scenes with him...

    D&D (2024) Armor, simplified for 5.5E:

Weapons might be a little more difficult......let me see what I can do.

    D&D (2024) Armor, simplified for 5.5E:

Honestly, if I was going to 'simplify' armor, it would just be to flavor text. Thus - Light Armor - 12+Dex, 15 G.P. Medium Armor - 14+Dex (max +2), Disadvantage on Stealth, STR 13 min., 50 G.P. Heavy Armor - 17 AC, Disadvantage on Stealth, STR 15 min., 400 G.P. This way you stay within bounded...

OSR If you were going to commit to one clone of older edition D&D going forward, what would it be?

Although I missed the poll, I found Chromatic Dungeons to be fairly good. That would be my choice.

    D&D (2024) 1D&D elf: Swing and a miss

I'm going to nay-say here and say I like this new playtest trance. The one the new Eladrin has is terrible. It has caused all sorts of issues at my table, so to my mind it is super-exploitable, especially with the Monk weapon proficiency in Tasha's. I'm fine for getting rid of it. or reduce it...

Star Trek Strange New Worlds, what did you think?

Overall, I liked the ship, but the swept back pylons on the warp drive just look really off to me. They are not supposed to be in use until the refit of 2271. However, I do understand that Kurtzman-Trek wouldn't know canon if , but that is a topic for another time.

Level Up (A5E) New Classes, Subclasses, Cultures, etc.

One of the new classes I'd love to see A5E do is the Swordmage type. We seem destined to not get this out of O5E ( I'm under-whelmed by their fixes for this, except the Tasha's Bladesinger, that was awesome. ). But an 'Arcane' Paladin type is something I've seen a lot of people ask for, and I'm...

    Dammit! +ve covid test

I'm sorry to hear this Sir. I had it very early on, when we knew almost nothing about it. With my comorbidities I was sure I was a goner. I got very, very lucky and got through it, but it was absolutely the worst experience of my life, and I've watched Highlander 2.

Wheel of Time - No Spoilers

As someone who has read the books, the changes to who the Dragon might be is very non-sensical, as well as what I 'Think' is going to be a change to the One Power itself. Moiraine thinks one of the girls can be the Dragon, but that makes ZERO sense in light of how the One Power is supposed to...

D&D 5E New Drow cultures coming in Starlight Enclave, the Lorendrow and the Aevendrow

I know there are more Drow cities in the Underdark, their just making it sound in some cases like Menzoberranzan is the only one, and now sorta the First one, which also isn't true. I'm just saying they muddied things up a bit more than necessary. You're also correct that fans would have been...

D&D 5E New Drow cultures coming in Starlight Enclave, the Lorendrow and the Aevendrow

This was a problem for me as well. Again, I almost feel this was part of the mandate. That being said, I actually do like the idea of Callidae and the Avendrow. I just think it could have been done better.

D&D 5E New Drow cultures coming in Starlight Enclave, the Lorendrow and the Aevendrow

This is how I feel too. I don't mind new societies or such, but it was the ham-fisted way they introduced them coupled with the 'holier-than-thou' attitude that I seem to get. But hey, this is just me, YMMV. I think another thing that bothers me is that there was plenty of Realmslore to work...

D&D 5E New Drow cultures coming in Starlight Enclave, the Lorendrow and the Aevendrow

This is the best part of the game - we can each do what we want at our tables. Everyone can have their vision come true, and truthfully, I've always loved that.
