    Best New Modules

I'm biased, of course, but The Echoes of Heaven gets great reviews. All the products are module + sourcebook. OGL PDF Customers Grab the preview for free, if you'd like.

    Rolemaster?

I write for RM too, and my Echoes of Heaven setting (finalredoubt.com) is produced under a RM license (as well as HARP, HERO, d20, and the GSL (pretty soon)). Anyway, my favorite is RMFRP, although I like RM Classic too. I like the older arms law (Either the Classic or RMSS version, the latter...

D&D 4E Please help map needed for 4E

At Final Redoubt Press we offer maps for download. They are a little more civilized than the points of light structure, but you're welcome to steal them. That's what they are there for. :) General Downloads

How Would YOU Like a Publisher to Handle this Situation?

Yeah, a poll would have been a good way to go. :) Thanks for the notes so far. The one comment I'd like to make is I can't put the product line on hold while I back fill. Many of my most loyal customers play the other systems, so I have to keep their products coming. That said, keep your...

How Would YOU Like a Publisher to Handle this Situation?

All right. I wanted the consumer's take on this. If this should be in Publisher's and Press Releases, I apologize, but I'm not used to seeing stuff like this there. So Final Redoubt Press has release 4 products in our Echoes of Heaven setting. Each comes with an adventure that's one part in...

    Guess what I've got!

It looks beautiful. Mind if I ask who did the printing?

    Resurrection of a Deva

In Japanese culture they believed it was 40 days. I'd go with that. I remember the warm, fuzzy feeling up epicness when my fellow samurai and I looked at a foe we knew would be instant death, then at each other. I said, "See you in 40 days, my friend." He nodded, and we charged. That was a...

    Act structure in adventure design

The Echoes of Heaven uses the Teaser+Three Act Structure for all adventures. No need to railroad. Three act structure, at it's basics is: Act One: Inciting incident. Hero leaves and enters a new world. Act Two: Complication. Stuff happens. Act Two Twist. Stuff Happens. End of Act Reveal...

    Dungeon Delve question

Traditionally, a keep or castle began as a single great hall where everyone lived (including the lord and lady). Only as they grew would they add on butteries and pantries and maybe a lesser hall for cooking. When they got really big and added a second level, then sometimes the lord would get...

How Do You Transport Your Books?

It's not me that uses most of the books, it's the players. My 4e dragonlance game has most of my D&D books, plus my DL books. It's the DL books that really take up space and I can never predict which ones (barring just a couple) people will ask for.

How Do You Transport Your Books?

I'm looking for a new solution to get all my books to the local game store with a minimum of fuss. Any suggestions? I have a rolling suitcase, but it isn't quite the right size. I was thinking of Sabol's Army Transport Division model, it looks like the dimensions would work, but I don't know...

    Is this puzzle solvable?

As soon as you showed how the gems move the dice, it was obvious to me it was a solvable puzzle. If the answer is all the same number, all 6s or all 1s, I think the puzzle is workable as is. If that isn't it, I'd need a clue to what I was trying to produce, but pushing the buttons to make them...

    The Apostate Paladin

This is why the new alignment system is my favorite version (though I too wish they had dropped it entirely). In The Echoes of Heaven Campaign Setting we have a lot of ambiguous religious morals. The idea that a paladin might be secretly (or even inadvertantly) getting his power from demon...

Campaign ends badly, 4th edition here we come!

I'd finish the campaign if you still can. TPK in the second to last adventure? You know, almost EVERY hero cycle story has the main character die right before the climax. If Trinity can bring back Neo, how hard can it be with resurrection magic, and this way you get to do the brunch with God...

Forked Thread: Everybody happy now? - Reprinting Monster Stat Blocks

Oh dear God please steal that idea, or come up with a better one I can steal. My only purpose on this is that when I run a playtest in 4e, I'm annoyed by the fact that I have to look up those powers every fight. If you put out an adventure and don't mitigate that one annoying thing as much as...

City Design - best supplements? rpg cities? advice?

I'd be remiss if I didn't plug The Last Free City. You can find it here: EN World PDF Store - Final Redoubt Press - The Last Free City/The Festering Earth (OGL Version). It's our first product to get a five star staff review. It's a city supplement, not a book on designing cities.

    D&D 4E Secret Doors in 4E

Do you allow passive perception to spot secret doors? Just curious. I don't remember anything official.
