How long does a new print run take?

As a general rule, I'd expect about six weeks if the printer is local, more like two and a half to three months if they are Chinese, and other printers would fall somewhere in between. Maybe shave a week or two if there are no changes in the book.

    3rd party 4e products?

This was asked in another thread and I posted this reply for Final Redoubt Press: http://www.enworld.org/showpost.php?p=4272780&postcount=9

    New 4e Publishers?

Final Redoubt Press will be releasing 4th edition products. Until we see the license, we won't know for sure which, but I have two product lines planned right now and its hard to imagine the first line will be affected by any surprises in the license. Our first product in stores will be...

Grit in 4e - how will YOU do it?

Never, EVER, use rules that you don't need. :) I'm writing that product cause I need criticals. :) I figure I might as well sell it to others with the same addiction.

Grit in 4e - how will YOU do it?

Criticals. This is going to sound like a plug, so let's just embrace that. Final Redoubt Press plans on releasing a critical hit system called Critical Matters on Oct 1st, which has over a thousand critical results. Things get a lot grittier when you have to worry about bleeding to death...

    Dragonlance Themes?

The original series was rife with symbolism and the theme of fall and redemption. You have the dragon army, and they run rampant across krynn (dragons representing evil). Then you have the good dragons (who represent the greek archtype of wisdom), who are absent, but in the first episode of...

A Kitten, or a plot line?

Hi. Tonight at my Echoes of Heaven game, I did a quick side issue where I let the barbarian rescue a kitten trapped in a hole. I did it because I wanted to see what he'd do and let's face, the image of a big, burly barbarian walking up to the cleric and meekly asking for a Cure Minor for the...

    New GSL Announcement

I think Clark has been beaten on a little much in this thread. Nothing to see here, I'm sure he didn't mean it personally. He's been in the center of a couple firestorms in the last two weeks. Give him a moment to calm down. I think you stepped in his way when he hit his breaking point and...

    New GSL Announcement

WotC isn't a Monopoly. The Microsoft complaint was based on the fact that they were a monopoly, and so the other companies had no other choice. Wizards isn't a monopoly. You can walk away and do your own game at any time, and be very successful at it. In fact, I THINK the reason Microsoft...

    New GSL Announcement

They say that you can update to the GSL in the initial announcement. I suspect that other people using your OGC doesn't effect it. I can give someone permission to quote a novel or short story I've written, then pull that product out of print and the third party quoting me doesn't effect...

    Looking for premade campaign

The Echoes of Heaven Campaign Setting. Each product comes with a sourcebook and adventure. There are free adventure seeds that fit nicely between the adventures themselves. The campaign will be ten adventures long (not counting the seeds) and take characters from low level to high level in a...

    Dragonlance Chronicle Adventure Trilogy 3E

I don't see why them dying would be a problem. They don't have any special advice. If they die, let them. Otherwise, it would be impossible to keep suspense after the first time they catch you. Toade CAN'T die, according to the rules of the setting (the gods won't have him) although that...

    Sticking w/ 3.5: Any Publishers?

Final Redoubt Press intends to continue producing 3.5 materials. Now we don't know what the GSL will say, so if there are restrictions there, we'll need to abide by them, but I'm against discontinuing a line in the middle of a series, and we just released part 4 of a ten parter...

    Dragonlance Chronicle Adventure Trilogy 3E

Yeah, it seemed like more work to me than tossing minis on the table and going at it. Probably just because I'd like the work less, though. :)

    Dragonlance Chronicle Adventure Trilogy 3E

I've only read the first one. The changes were minor, but I think they were all good. They now have three encounters for people entering Solace, for instance, so they don't all just happen to meet outside of town for Toade. They brought the story of the restoration of faith a little more into...

question for ravenloft GMs only - SPOILERS

I have never used the Fortunes without stacking the deck a little. Usually I try them out in advance and see if I like them, if not I reshuffle until I get a result that fires my imagination. The main thing here is that the story is funnest if you're inspired by all the locations. Don't ever...

    Dragonlance Chronicle Adventure Trilogy 3E

Well, all the original characters are new. However dragonlance adds a lot of people in as NPCs, especially starting in Flame, and then converts them to PCs later (Gilthanas, Elistan, Larauna, for instance). So if you want to have those roles filled by original characters, you have to rip those...
