Zip, zero, zilch. In fact, the only reason I would have picked up the Races of the Dragon was for the kobold coverage. Granted I don't know much about the Dragonborn, but with kobolds, half-dragons, dragonkin, and a draconic template I just didn't see the point in another dragon-based humanoid...

Guess I should have read all the options first... I don't condone dipping without sound logic behind the choice. That said, if I was to dip it would likely be the Fighter class. Although, I agree that the Martial Rogue makes dipping unnecessary.

I ran a six year pirate campaign in Greyhawk in which the ship's cook was also a drunk. I based the character on Shane MacGowan of The Pogues. I agree with Whizbang. Throw in an old salt whose lived his life on the sea. A tough, but wiry Rogue or Expert might be best.

I was the sole purchaser and thus the sole DM for my gaming group early on and remains so to this day. This idea of more than one DM is a rather alien concept to me, but I'd certainly enjoy playing once and a while. ;)

Yakkity-Yak...Don't talk back. I agree with Whizbang. The word "yak" in and of itself is seen as rather silly and comical whether it applies to incessant yammering or a big lactating beast of burden. I'm not sure that Drongfolk is a much better choice, though... The Drong might work. Always...

Agreed. I think the printed supplements might even end up being slightly cheaper...regardless of the rather inflated shipping costs. The core book is definitely much cheaper than the pdf.

I might be able to help you on that bit. I'm not sure how many books have been released since Midnight 2nd ed., but it is given the number MN11. The other books have an MN#, too, so I assume tha thet books MN10 and below came before Midnight 2nd ed. while those labled MN12 and above came after...

Any advice on what Midnight products to pick up and what to avoid? I've already learned that Against the Shadow (Player's Guide) is included/updated in Midnight: 2nd Edition. I'm thinking of picking up: Midnight: 2nd Edition Midnight: Sorcery & Shadow Midnight: Steel & Shadow Midnight: Minions...

I agree. I much prefer a tangible product to pdfs, however, so I voted for the first option. I intend on buying 3e material (especially if they're on sale!) as long as it interests me and is still available. I don't plan on switching to 4e.
