My Recent Minis - input appreciated!

The eyes have it Eyes are definitely one of the hardest parts. I've tried a couple different techniques, but that one sounds interesting, and I'm pretty sure I know what you mean. I'll give it a try on the next one I do. Speaking of which, here's another. This guy suffers more than normal...

Face I've been looking at a couple of good sites, but if you have some others, I'd love to take a look at them. I am not happy with his face at all. This is the fig for a vampire in my game, so the pale face fits, I think. The detail is completely blown out.

Another Mini . . . Here's the second mini I tried with my new techniques. I find monsters much easier to paint that humans, so I think this cutey pie came out better. Now, I have ALL of my pics of minis archived on a web site, if it would be easier for people to take a look at them there . . .

    Opinions?

I like! I usually enjoy the more 'cartoony' style, anyway. Nice clean lines. Good work!

Gray/Black/Metallics I did this on some of the later ones, with reasonable success. Part of the problem is that I use a high gloss finish to make them a little more durable during game play (these are all minis that will be used . . ) I've since read that doing a coat of gloss, and then a...

    LrdApoc please look at this

Well, since you offered . . . If you get a chance, I have character I'd love a drawing of. Name: Kwan-Tom (The Nuclear Monk) he's a 14th level human monk. He's medium-tall, muscular without being heavily built. Caucasian. He wears blousy pants, loose around the ankles, and slippers of...

Hey! It worked! This is the back of the same mini. Sorry that the resolution is not too high. I had to use a DV camera and make stills. That's what I get for being a videographer instead of a photographer . . .

I've been trying some new painting techniques with minis, so I figured I'd post a few of my attempts here and see what people think. Any feedback you can give me would be appreciated! This one is my first attempt with some new techniques. I experimented with some washes, etc. The paint was a...

    Hmmm . . . Candyland

I'm going to be making a High-Level d20 module based on the board game Candyland. If any of you artists out there are looking for inspiration I'd be interested in seeing any interpretation syou would have of various characters. Characters include: Lord Licorice (a Lich in my version) Mrs...

Free PC Portaits!!!! WAHOO!! (New pic! 7/1)

First off, I'm new to the forum and I must say that your work is REALLY impressive. Very sharp, and CLEAN. My friends who draw do good work, but it's been drawn over and again so much it's nearly through the paper. Your lines are just so nice. Anyway, if you ever get around to, I have a...
