    Loooong distance archery query

The RAW does not answer all problems. Try to use common sense. How far away can you see someone in daylight and without obstructions. I'm not really sure but maybe about 1/2 mile away ?

    Monk's Belt help

I repeat my question. Would you then think that this item was ok as well. Belt of canny defense: Gives the wearer a bonus to his AC equal to his Int bonus+1. These bonuses to AC apply even against touch attacks or when flat-footed. These bonuses are lost when immobilized or helpless, when...

Which of the following offensive actions would end an Invisibility spell?

Its also very strange that you could cast your Fog cloud and stay invisible. But if for some reason an invisible foe is within area of effect you suddenly turn visible. How can the Invisibility spell know if an enemy is within area of effect and react accordingly ? We really need a new sort...

What new class abilities do the classes get at level 21-25.

    Monk's Belt help

Actually no. I was thinking of a fighter (or any other non-monk warrior type character) with the Improved Unarmed strike feat.

    Monk's Belt help

Additionally if +stat bonus to AC where priced at about 10k (-the improved damage and +1AC) I think mages would be crafting Belts of canny defense and charmed defense by the dozen.

    Monk's Belt help

Sorry then. I guess I see it as cheap monk upgrade (better damage, +1/day stunning fist and +1 AC) and something a grand old master might pass on to his most enlightened pupil. Whereas I share your view of the belt of dwarvenkind. Pretty damn good for a brawler with Improved unarmed strike:)...

    Monk's Belt help

Well you will have to spend a valuable feat (one of the few thing druids don't have plenty of), multiclass (always bad for spellcasters) and you will have a -5 armor check penalty and a maximum dex bonus of +1. You won't be wearing it at night while sleeping or in social situations where...

    Monk's Belt help

But then you are a) wearing a armor with possible check penalties (obviously not in leather armor) and b) not getting any of that armor bonus in wildshaped form unless you want to slap another +3 modifier on that price (and then you would still have to deal with armor check penalties. IMO...

    Monk's Belt help

I, too, am a firm believer of the +1AC approach. A 13k item giving potentially +4-7 AC (for druids) is just too good. And I don't even see the need of a wilding clasp. Many animals could be fitted with a belt. I also don't like the fact that it gives a wildly varying AC bonus for a fixed price...

    Letting Rangers skirmish.

Let him choose it as a combat style and give him skirmish +1d6 at the levels he gets combat style feats (2,6 and 11) for a maximum of +3d6 skirmish.

    The Exemplar - Base class

Don't really know, but the paladins smites are generally better. They add level to damage, not cha bonus. They also have spells like divine favor and holy sword to increase damage output. I just think that the player of this class will find that his fellow PC's are clearing the opposition while...

    Help Wanted: Dryad LA

IMO thats way way too cheap. Good skills and a decent skill list (at least 4 very good skills), wild empathy, some very nice spell like abilities and rocking stat adjustments (+24 total !). Natural armor +3 and a hard to beat Damage reduction of 5/cold iron. Its got to be at least +2 or +3. A...

    The Exemplar - Base class

If anything this class looks underpowered. Whats the BAB by the way, Good I would guess. The only power that really sticks out is the wisdom to anything one. But as that does not add to damage I have a hard time seeing how this guy is going to do any decent offence.

Am I nuts or could this possibly be one of the most powerful builds I've ever seen?

I'm not. I'm saying that WOTC (and secondary d20 producers) spits out so many books that any one game designer can't know the ins and outs of all rules or how different books will synerergize. Thats for the dm (and the players) to do in their own particular game. Anyone can find loopholes and...

    druid's animal form & spellcasting

I don't think that it should be a feat or ability at all. Its just too good. If they want to pull that stunt they can take Eschew materials, Still spell and Silent spell and eat the metamagic level increases.

Am I nuts or could this possibly be one of the most powerful builds I've ever seen?

Dude its simple. The guys who made that bison template did not know about the Master of many forms. Likewise the guys who put Master of many forms together likely did not know or factor in this template. They are clearly not meant to work together and to assume that they should borders on the...

Dusk - Balancing Spellcasters without their spells.

Thats just names. Couldn't they all be from the same spellcaster class with the right difference in feats and multiclassing.

    Bear Warrior is NERFED

Well. I have a bear warrior in my campaing and he does absolutely horrendous damage. He is at the Brown bear stage and a whopping +16 str piled on his own 16 str is friggin awesome. True he gets hurt quite a bit himself but with Power attack, Cleave and Great cleave he is just cleaning out...

Dusk - Balancing Spellcasters without their spells.

Ughh. Thats a very mechanical and complicated way of doing things. Too much work for such small gains IMO. I think i would go about it in another way. Perhaps restricting Priests and Druids from certain colors of magic that conflicts with their ethos. And attaching maximum spell level known to...
