We do this a little different as well. I force my clerics to drop a spell from his list of possibles that is 1 level higher than the spell that he wishes to use. He can no longer use this spell for the duration of his characters life, unless he removes another spell a level higher than that...

I was wondering why you can't take the Multicultural feat from Song & Silence multiple times... I know that a feat is supposed to state that it can be taken more than once for this to be true. It just seems that the designers should have made this feat usable more than once... Maybe I'm off...

I feel you kreynolds. I usually penalize them by taking away some of their equipment as well, just to make them more cautious. Or maybe I'm just sadistic....

I would have the Kobolds flail around randomly, trying to rip the fabric. That would probably upset someone... :)

Personally, I would take STR, if nothing else then because you're a fighter... You won't be using that longbow all of the time, and some of your feats will helped along with STR. If you were a ranger, I would say to go with the highter DEX. Maybe you should think about that route...

What were they doing luring all those creatures in at once anyway. Number one, they are now going to fight all of the monsters no matter what, so they have a higher probability of gaining XP. Two, they get the XP much faster (assuming they kill everything.) Three, they don't deserve any extra...

This has helped my players pick up a lot more tactics when in combat than they would before. If nothing else it keeps them thinking about placement a lot more. The one place that I have seen this become a big factor is in PC vs PC or NPC party vs PC party combat. It's fun to watch a wizard...
