    Creating high level cure potions?

How much does it cost to create the various cure potions with higher caster levels (XPs and Gold)? I don't find the rules for this. The DMG seems to assume lowest possible caster level. The highest possible caster level for each respective cure spells nearly doubles it's effectiveness. Example...

    Spell caster level?

Sounds reasonable. So you choose with what class you want to enchant the items (or with which class to take the respective feat, which really doesn't matter because there seems to be no distinction between divine magical items and arcane ones).

    Spell caster level?

Hi all, what is exactly the spell caster level of multiclass casters, such as a Bard 7 / Illusionist 2 for purposes of meeting item creation feat prerequisites? Is it the highset arcane spell caster class level (in this case 7) or is it the added class levels for all arcane classes (9)...

Monks, Red Avengers, & Monk Abilities

I did allow it and it works well. First, it's reasonable to assume, that damage and AC is based on your unarmed combat skill. As the unarmed base attack of RA stacks with monk, so does the rest (this is a house rule). The Red Avenger abilities are not too much over the top if compared to the...

How do you guys do Hps? And why?

I allow my players to reroll their total hps each level (a 7th level fighter would roll 7d10). If they get a higher total than before, they keep it, else they stay at the same total +1. This averages out bad rolls, but also good ones. Thats why they can choose to do it.

    Any City System Plans

I just read the free preview of "Magical Medieval Society" and must say, I am quite impressed by it. Now, this one is primarly for creating cities not living/adventuring in them. What I seek is a book like "Magical Medieval Society" but for living and adventuring in that city. "Magical Medieval...

    Any City System Plans

Most of these supplements are too specific. I mean who really needs 10 different detailed jewelers? Most people do not run burglary adventures (well, okay if there is some decent pillaging and mayhem involved). If a DM needs such locations for their adventure, they can easily make them up. But...

    Any City System Plans

I believe there is an audience for these kind of supplements. It's even not too D20 specific, and as such usable by every DM. I know of a german RPG company which had a great city book for "Midgard". This stuff was really good. Players enjoyed staying in the city and seeing what happened to them.

Sounds good to me! I'll definitely wait for that one. When does it come out? May?

    City Rules?

I read about AEGs Toolbox. Does it include city stuff? That would be neat. Is there any press info on Citycraft?

I like the chart! Nice ideas :-)

    City Rules?

I'll check them out, thank you. The only problem with the undoubtly very interesting and creative citybooks out there is, at least for me as a DM, that they detail only one city, which is mostly very special with too much detailed information (like a history for example). What I think would be...

    Any City System Plans

I'll look into that, thanks... BTW, I always thought the DMG city population rules were kind of too generic. Since now, they used them for every WOTC city I've seen. It is strange, if you see the city stats for a magic-hating barbarian village and realize, that about 10% are wizards, sorcerers...

    City Rules?

Are there any Plans from any D20 Publisher to publish a generic city book? I think, that is missing right now. Of course we have a lot of very detailed D20 Cities out there, but nothing generic. Something with: a) flavor text about medieval fantasy cities, giving some ideas for fleshing out...

    How does dispelling/counterspelling work?

Ok, so they cancel each other out where they overlap or dispel each other if cast on the same target. Thats how I handled it last time. With dispel magic you need to beat the other caster on a caster level check. Does this also apply here? Automatic dispels seem kind of lame to me. A 5th level...

    How does dispelling/counterspelling work?

Do spells like daylight automatically counter/dispel spells like darkness or do they just temporary cancel each other out in areas where they overlap? Can you make a targeted dispel to totally dispel the other spell? Is a spellcaster check necessary like with dispel magic?

    [OA] Feat: Roundabout Kick

Yes, and getting crit in high levels is not so hard either, you have a lot of chances.... With a 20 crit range and 4 attacks chances are about 19%, with 5 attacks 23% per round. With improved critical you have 35% (4 attacks) and 41% (5 attacks) per round. Math: 1-((chance for a normal...

    Circle Kick...

Yes, Circle Kick is not really worth it. - it's only effective while fighting more than one enemy - it's only effective if you don't have more than two attacks per fullround action - you need to hit in the first place to get the second attack, so it's debatable if it's better to have say a...

    Skill check CR

Well, to be honest, skill checks don't earn you XP. Thats a bad thing, because it doesn't reward less combat-oriented characters. It's all about bashing monsters in D&D, isn't it? The argumentation is that every PC contributes to the parties success with all of his abilities. Thats why XP for...
