    D&D 5E I don't like Dragonborn: Please stay away from D&D Next.

I don't think some of you understand how quickly Dragonborn can attract new players. I was playing 4E at a con once shortly after PHB2 came out and was trying to get some people (who hadn't played D&D before) to try it out so I could get more players for my home game. It took someone after the...

    D&D 5E Restrictions in D&D Next

Not a fan of things I spend money on telling me what I can't do. A yes! but... system is much more fun, intuitive, and leads to greater storytelling over a system that yells at me whenever I try to do something.

    D&D 5E I don't like Dragonborn: Please stay away from D&D Next.

Some of my best times in D&D have involved Dragonborn and I've played for a good 10 -15 years. They are insanely popular around here. If they aren't in core I'm not even going to bother with this edition.

Please step away from the 4th edition "effect everything" abilities.

So your answer is essentially "yeah he's as effective as a commoner."

Please step away from the 4th edition "effect everything" abilities.

Nope. I disagree. This is absolutely something that shouldn't be leaving the game. Having super specialized class features like Favoured Enemy or Smite Uncle Paul's Underwear aren't cool and need to stay dead.

My Homebrew ISN'T core (and neither is yours)

If 5E doesn't have what I like and it's looking more and more like this is the case every day...I'll just go back to playing 4E or Pathfinder. Still plenty of people who want to play either of those. The days of "hey guys just accept this edition or quit the hobby" are over folks. We have...

How Many Classes Do We Really Need?

    A lot. Like 50 - 60.

    Are you convinced yet?

It's about the opposite for me. Everything I'm hearing, aside from Monte Cook leaving, is something that I'm not really cool with. Still waiting to see stuff that I like.

    D&D 4E The Dispensible 4E

-Magic item dailies: WoTC find a better way to do this please. The current system (yes even with the latest books that have improved the issue haven't made it any less clunky) -Skill Challenges: WotC find a better way to do this please. -Hard to track combat: Please have materials for tracking...

    So...where does retraining fit in?

It was a pretty big part of 4E, and was an option in 3.5 as well. Not sure about it's role in editions prior to 3.5, but I feel that's it is an essential part of the game. People shouldn't be locked into the character they want to play just because they picked a class two years a go, eh?

    D&D 4E Things wrong with 4e: Dragons

Dragons, as much of everything in the first year of 4E, were very poorly done. Solos in general sucked. Yes they improved in later years, but they were still horrible, grindy pinatas.

    The Sky is Not Falling

If Monte is out, then I might be interested in 5E again.

D&D 5E How creative should 5e let you be?

It should let you be as creative as you want to be...it just baffles me that there are people who think D&D should do anything but.

    Kill the skinny halfling!

Either cannibalistic, savage scouts and ambushers whose very name brings fear to all in the Tablelands. or... Dinosaur riding nomads who are in the middle of a cultural schism between those who want to keep to the ancient ways or migrate to the big, sophisticated cities full of potential marks...

D&D 5E How Strange should Flora and Fauna be in the Default 5E Setting?

Ironwrought Hounds, domesticated dinosaurs, undead krakens, living spells.... yeah that's right Eberron should be the default.
