SPELLS & SPELLCRAFT: The Greatest d20 Rulebook? YES!!!

Suldulin-- As far as spells go, Druids get 6 new first level spells, 4 2nd, 4 3rd, 4 th, 4 5th, and one each 6th and 8th. Reapersaurus, you'll need to start petitioning Mongoose or somebody to get cracking on the Complete Paladin:)

Incorrect Physics in Call of Cthulhu!

SableWyvern, I thought the same thing--what about Car Wars? "Add speeds to find amount of damage." D'oh! Drive offensively!

SPELLS & SPELLCRAFT: The Greatest d20 Rulebook? YES!!!

I'll try to answer a few questions since I also picked up Spells and Spellcraft, although I haven't read very far into it since I also picked up Deities and Demigods and the latest Dungeon, and since I couldn't decide which to read first, I'm being inefficient and reading all three at the same...

I didn't like Bluffside. But I didn't read it, either!

2WS-Steve, you have that right. When I first saw the image for the cover, WOW. Like a plastic jug of gasoline onto the fires of my imagination. What an amazing looking place! And as soon as I find a copy, that book is mine, not just because of a pretty cover (though it is appreciated) but...

    Spells & Spellcraft is IN!!!

Not only is it in, but it is in my greedy little hands.:) Haven't had much time to read it yet, but looks good. Looks like some great ways to add flavor and color to magic users. I'd say more but it's really getting time for bed. So yes, I'm being a cruel tease.:D

    Need Ideas for Tomorrow's Game

Depending on how much time you want to spend at sea with them, you can have them get lost (REALLY lost). They end up where they think the island should be but--no island, so where are we?? Massive storm, unusual weather (drunk navigator--PCs should have paid more for a better ship, right;)...

Which city supplement should I buy?

Heretic Apostate--glad you mentioned Windhaven, because that thing looks awesome. Here's hoping it's as good as it looks. BTW I really enjoyed Geanavue. Not every city needs to feel like the bad part of town on Riot Day.

[OT] Do you subscribe to any conspiracy theories?

OK. So I read this thread last night and post to it, and then have the strangest, most messed-up dream about pocket dimensions, time loss and alien abductions. Someone here is messing with me!! (I knew I should have used my aluminum bedsheets...). Is it because I have stumbled unto the truth...

[HELP] Flex your DM muscle and help me out.

The article on traps from the latest Dragon might be helpful--have a number of obvious traps combined with nasty, well-hidden ones. Then have a hallway where the walls have lots and lots of holes--for poisoned arrows? Gas? Water to drown them like rats when walls drop to block them in...

[OT] Do you subscribe to any conspiracy theories?

This whole board is a fake--one gigantic Turing test for which I am the alpha guinea pig. Or maybe it's all real after all. I will have to second Lars Frehse and Eric Noah on the recommendation of Foucault's Pendulum by Umberto Eco. The TRUE power of conspiracies...;)

    Any cool Greek sayings/battle cries?

Ah, Vhane, you got to tell the whole story for full effect!:) According to Herodotus (7.226) as the Greeks were fighting the Persians at Thermopylae, word came to them warning that the Persians were so numerous that when they shot their arrows there were enough to block out the sun. A Greek...

New from Darkfuries: Temples and Shrines

I remember people talking about Darkfuries Tavern/Inn floorplans and also Castles/Keeps. When I went to buy them today, there was the brand new Temples and Shrines. 4 shrines, 15 chapels, 8 temples, 2 churches, 1 cathedral with descriptions of every room. About half have multiple levels to...

    Whatever happened to Wyvern's Claw?

These guys were doing series of solo (one player and DM) adventures for various classes, but the latest news on their website is from November. Their planned releases looked cool. Anyone know anything about them?

    Any other Scrollworks Supporters?

I'm the other kind of Scrollworks supporter--a subscriber and occasional contributor. It's a neat 'zine and I'm glad to see Christian is getting some big name support. If anyone doesn't know about Scrollworks, check it out. http://www.scrollworkspress.com/index.html

    [OT:LOTR-Preview] I have seen Treebeard.

I'll reply to both the thread and its hijacking into the realm of beer.:) Saw LotR for the fifth time last night and got to see the Two Towers bit. Like others have said here--very cool, and nine months seems like a long time (course, I'm quite happy to kill some of that time with a few...

The main problem I have with Kenzer's Geanavue

By training and interest, I like language and I really appreciated the efforts to distinguish languages and cultures. Kap, you have a point at the end of your most recent post--but a paragraph or two on "Pronunciation of the Names" would clear that up. We got all kinds of good, old DND names...
