JollyDoc's Age of Worms (Updated 11/30, Epilogue!)

Congrats Guys! As a former (2001) Open winner, I am left speechless at the prizes (we got $100 at the WotC online store and a pat on the back ;) ) Well played! ...and now back to the death and the maiming of Wormy-rific baddies! -Matt

[Eberron] Tiamat vs. the Draconic Prophesy?

In my version of RHoD and Age of Worms (set in Eberron), I'm treating Tiamat much like one of the Rajahs. Ages when the dragons were warring with the Rajahs, 6 powerful chromatic dragons defected to the side of the Rajahs, and were to be granted great power as a result. But, the Rajahs had no...

    Lost Season Finale

I'm starting to think that the mysterious "old" things (the Feet, the Black Rock) are just there to show that there is something unusual about this island, and that it has been for a long time... RE: the button and electromagentics- I'm betting that the Hanso Foundation managed to somehow use...

Monk - what do you like and dislike?

Just wanted to go on record to state that "Be a Buff Old Geezer" should be the new name for the Timeless ability. I think I'll go scribble it into my PH right now... ;) Continue going about your business.... -Matt

    Super SPOILER FILLED Serenity thread

I TOTALLY was thinking that, especially in Mal's fight with the Operative...I half expected him to outright say that Pirates are better than Ninjas :) Wonderful flick. Wonderful show. Me wanty more. -Rugger

    Star Wars Colossal AT-AT Mini

They re-release it every few years, a bit cheaper each time...I think it was around the same $50 mark. (which usually drops after its been out a while) Very curious to hear how this puppy sells, and how the new humungo-sized DDM work out too... -Rugger

    Star Wars Colossal AT-AT Mini

I think what kinda weirds me out with the Mega-AT AT is that for $40, one could buy the Action figure version...with more moving parts, lights and sounds. I'm betting they are about the same size, too... Hmm... -Rugger

    Age of Worms - Deadly

I can't stress this enough. My players hadn't played in months (damn you precious WoW!) and were a bit rusty. Plus one newbie. I think they have had their 'wake-up call' to get their act together. Heh. RE: the undead later on, the cleric is gonna LOVE it, being crafted as anti-undead. Which...

    Age of Worms - Deadly

So I'm gonna spoil away here, since this SHOULD be a DM-only discussion :) Other than the swarms, I'm not too worried about my party. (Warforged Rogue, Shifter Barbarian, Human Artificer, Aerenal Elf Cleric) The swarms are harsh, though. d6 automatic damage (plus another 1-4 acid!) and party...

    Age of Worms - Deadly

We just started the Age of Worms 2 weeks ago, and I had to fudge a bit because are REALLY rough at 1st level...auto damage and only AoE effects damage them... 1st Level is a good time to fudge though, cause all a TPK causes at that level is a lot of heartache/time loss. -Rugger

    DDM: Underdark preview 2

I Love the Ankheg and Xorn....but MAN do I prefer the 'old-school' Roper. This whole, 'melted-rock-lumpy-thready-tentacled-thing' doesn't do it for me :) -Rugger

Why no WOTC support for Greyhawk?

Don't know that I'd call it 'dumbed down'... The adventure/location is in the Cairn Hills, Grossengrottel (sp?) is nearby, as is "the Free City", and there are lotsa little references to the rest of Greyhawk (including a war against humanoids in the far SW)... Heck, just reading it got me all...

    Lost - Season Finale *Spoilers*

Hehe! I sooooo wanted to see some sort of Ray Harryhausen-esque beastie... and find out that they are on Captain Nemo's 'Mysterious Island', but alas it wasn'tmeant to be. Instead the 'monster' is some sort of cloaked.....something. Hmmm...the producers did do their main job right: I will be...

So just what do we know so far about the Star Wars TV series?

You could be onto something there... 'Rise of the Rebellion' show with he and Mon Mothma leading the political drama side, and some new folks doing the dirty-work. Law and Order: Rebellion. :) - Rugger

"Order of the Stick" book signing - saw lots of EN Worlders!

I SOOOOO wanted to go....but alas a half-day off from work and a 4 hour drive was not in the cards :) I did get mine in the mail a couple of days ago, and MAN is it a nice book. Not sure quite what I expected, but it wasn't as nice as it is in reality. Big, meaty, bright colors, and full of...

    Stargate SG-1 {Spoiler Talk} 2.18.05

I always get the vibe from SG-1 that they are having 'FUN' making the show. This episode and those behind the scenes specials that they do just reinforce that. Fun makes for good TV. :) -Rugger
