I wanted to larp, but I wanted a more D&D-y experience...so I WROTE a larp. About once a year, I spend about a month planning an event at the rate of about 20 hours a week so that my friends and I can swing homemade foam swords and hurl beanbags at one another for two days.

Green jasmine tea is my favorite. I like all my tea sweet, but I had less sugar to jasmine tea than to black tea. Iced tea I like either the same green jasmine, or a plain old irish breakfast. Peppermint tea, while not technically tea, is very tasty as well.

Being a highly trained coffee professional, I have to say that the posts in this thread are absolutely PAINFUL to me, and I wish that I could prepare everyone a cup of fabulous coffee thats not instant, or preground mass marketed, or drenched in artificial flavors to cover the taste of inferior...

I have an old pad of the blue 4 per inch grid paper, but thats just for sketching. For my final maps, I have a photoshop file the size of an 8.5x11 piece of paper (with a good size margin) with a 4 per inch grid in grey. I make my maps with black outlines on other layers. The lines show up...

I went to the celebration downtown and watched (from considerable distance) the team come up on the stage and speak. Nick lifted the cup and we cheered with great loudness. A few hundred feet away isn't exactly CLOSE to the cup, but it was keen just to lay eyes on it. It's so shiny...

It was SUCH a good game. Except for the rotten ice making everyone fall down and overskate the passes and whatnot. I was literally on the edge of my seat through the overtimes. 35 seconds from the cup! It would have been such a perfect storybook ending to win it in overtime at home. Oh...

Heh. We are not birds! We are wings on a big wheel. It's a tire bird at best. We won! And I missed it. I even had folks at home tape it, but they didn't do the VCR right, so no game for me...so sad. But Monday, I will be glued to the tv!

I work on Monday, and then will likely come home to work on the weekly update for my comic. Sunday is usually game day, but since we have one person out of town, and two more still adjusting to being brand new parents, we won't be playing. I plan to do laundry, get some commission work done...

I really can't get into a game on tape. It's just not exciting for me. I plan to bring my laptop to work and stash it in the back. I don't know of any sites that I can get a live video feed from (prolly good for my productivity) but I can at least keep a watch on the score.

See? I get to watch the game and look at all the winnings! Of course I have to work 3 our of the first 4 games. I always close twice a week. Wednesdays and Saturdays. Of course what days do the games wind up on? Sat, Mon, Wed, Sat, Mon, Wed, Sat. Bah!

Bah! This should so have been put to bed by now! But I'm feeling good about tonight, since i actually get to WATCH the game.

Another year, another Con over and done. It was a good show. Much, much slower than it's been in years past, but still good. I only saw Mistwell, but it was really exciting to have a face to put with even one screenname.
