do you have any idea how much such an item would cost?? by the rules for every added ability the cost multiplies, it would cost a bomb. and double that for a slotless item. would a rod be slotless? i mean it has to be hand held right?

"typical want"... "most are made of..." sounds to me like you can have an exeption here and there :) besides if i was the DM i' make you win it off an enemy who used it against you which is usually fair.

and in that spirit i'd give donkey and mule a +4 to resist intimidation as they will just look at you with that dismissive glare while chewing some straw... rats should probably be able to intimidate mdern man but i'm no sure about adventurers

we use a laptop behind a screen the DM always had to demand a tith of the refresments, this way he can reach for himself... in our game its usually the DM who gets that alarmed look when we roll loads of dice for damage...

so you're basicly saying- trade d6 for each round of silence (which is from pain so dispel magic or magic resistence wont help) right? i'd up the preq a bit and give the target a save fortitude to avoid something like 10+ 1/2 stabbers level+ non sneak damage dealt. after all its always mor fun...

... 've been out of the game for a while and i dont know what E6 is... the spell also gives you flying, reach weapon, damage is divine and not suseptble to fire resistence and at a high level can be used as a major boost to turning (15 level cleric ends it right after it starts for a +15 boost...

if you limited the time period a person is infectious and add an incubation then its no longer a world killer only a city killer... still an epic spell unless you are infectious only for say a minute per caster level. BTW- the real plague "only" killed a third of the population and many were...

how about something style the end of "the prisoner" episodes?

the idea is fine but the power as a 3rd level spell is way too much. maybe 5th prob more
