New Releases In Stores This Week : 23rd January 2017

Thanks for putting these together. I like browsing these to see what is coming out.

WotC's 2017 Convention Schedule Includes New Hascon, No GenCon

For someone that has never been to a convention, what should they expect to see if they attended GaryCon? I would be interested in checking out RPG products and probably spending too much money on products that I don't really need... I am not that interested in gaming with people that I don't...

    Roll20 Hits 2 Million Users!

Not all of the kickstarter projects (that I have backed) that offer FG support are adventures per se: * Book of Lairs * Tomb of Beasts * Primeval Thule * Into the Wintery Gale * Demon Cults and Secret Societies? Not all of these have been released, and I haven't really used the ones that have...

    Roll20 Hits 2 Million Users!

I have not used Roll20 much, yet (I have an account, but find it unintuitive and the marketplace not user friendly). So, I am not that familiar with Roll20. But, I believe that SmiteWorks (the makers of Fantasy Grounds) has worked with some kickstarter creators to get their content into FG...

    Has anyone fixed range bands?

It's simple in theory. But, when you have two or more groups engaged in combat and people begin moving around, it quickly becomes difficult to figure out who is at what range to whom. It is sad that they put so much work into the system, and then dropped the ball on combat ranges. We will...

Who's Playing What On Fantasy Grounds? Final Stats For 2016!

Interesting to see DCC on the chart, even though there isn't an official ruleset for it. I wish Goodman Games would get on board with the digital age. I would definitely buy up DCC/MCC modules on FG.

Tales From The Yawning Portal - 7 Classic Dungeons Updated To 5E!

I think it was the WoW based ruleset that killed 4e. When I read the ruleset, it sounded great. But, in play, it was just too much to keep track of.

And Here Are The Official 10 Most Anticipated RPGs of 2017!

I can't say that the quality of the printed materials influenced my decision to back Trudvang, as I have not seen a physical RPG product that was produced in Europe yet. I was mostly sold at "Trudvang Chronicles is an award-winning fantasy roleplaying game based on the mysterious and dark...

And Here Are The Official 10 Most Anticipated RPGs of 2017!

I was checking to see if I could pre-order any of the bundles. Some of the kick starters use a backer kit that allows people to order after the kickstarter has closed.

And Here Are The Official 10 Most Anticipated RPGs of 2017!

It looks like you may be able to purchase Coriolis stuff here: http://frialigan.se But, I don't see an English version of the site...

And Here Are The Official 10 Most Anticipated RPGs of 2017!

Good question. They seem to be doing something right. I am already feeling RPG overload, but many of these sound quite interesting.

And Here Are The Official 10 Most Anticipated RPGs of 2017!

Ok, what is NEW all about? Is it a sci-fi setting? I haven't played a sci-fi RPG since Star Frontiers (other than one session of FFG's Star Wars recently).

And Here Are The Official 10 Most Anticipated RPGs of 2017!

Sweet... Trudvang got #1! I am looking forward to that. Some of these others sound interesting. Does anyone know which of these use range bands (like the ones in FFG's Star Wars)? I know Star Trek does. I am not interested in any of the RPGs that use range bands. Too many RPGs available...

Tales From The Yawning Portal - 7 Classic Dungeons Updated To 5E!

I like DCC as DCC. That is one other RPG that we play, in addition to 5e. I like how it is just different enough to be it's own thing. But, I wouldn't complain if they converted some of their modules to 5e and I would definitely buy some of them.

Tales From The Yawning Portal - 7 Classic Dungeons Updated To 5E!

Now, if only Paizo would decide to convert some of their material to 5e! I don't foresee that happening, but that would definitely bring in some revenue for them. We never really got into Pathfinder (though we may try it again), and I would like to see Paizo continue to do well... but I would...

Tales From The Yawning Portal - 7 Classic Dungeons Updated To 5E!

I would like to see Isle of Dread (X1) and Lost Caverns of Tsojcanth (S4). I am hoping that this is the beginning of more conversions to 5e. Edit: As I mentioned previously, I would support kickstarters to fund these conversions too. That may help them gauge interest in various conversions...

Tales From The Yawning Portal - 7 Classic Dungeons Updated To 5E!

It's tough to please everyone with every release. However, I think I have purchased everything that WotC has released for 5e. I haven't used or even read it all yet... but I have it all. The APs are great, but they seem to be too long for my group at the moment. We can't seem to play often...

Tales From The Yawning Portal - 7 Classic Dungeons Updated To 5E!

The Doomvault looks pretty sweet. I had not seen that before.

Tales From The Yawning Portal - 7 Classic Dungeons Updated To 5E!

I have not read Dead in Thay, but did read some reviews about it. Wasn't that module written with the assumption that multiple parties would be playing through at the same time working toward a common goal? I wonder how that would impact the module for home use. Could a single party still run...

Tales From The Yawning Portal - 7 Classic Dungeons Updated To 5E!

I am excited about these "retreads." I started playing D&D around 1980 with the basic edition and ran a few old modules back in the 80s. But, now I am playing with my kids and would like to take them through some of these. I like having the option of shorter modules, in addition to the longer...
