blink + invisibility = miss chance?

I had an argument about something just like this in another forum. What happens when you stack blur, displacement, greater blink, greater mirror image? And there's basically two 'official' ways to rule mirror images, whether they all appear in your square (FAQ), or they appear 5 feet from you...

    MapTool resources needed

Don't know which forum's good for this. I'm looking for a collection of textures, tilesets and tokens for MapTool. Where would I be able to find stuff like dungeon tiles, city tiles, or 3.5 monster tokens (without having to resort to using the TokenTool and copying each monster from the MM by...

Question on True Seeing vs psionic Touchsight

True seeing defeats all illusions, thus, mirror image, minor/major image and the rest of the illusion school is defeated. It's a 6th level sor/wiz spell. Touchsight is a 3rd level psion spell. I don't see a lower level spell being able to do things better than a much higher level spell can do...

Question on True Seeing vs psionic Touchsight

It looks like touchsight and true seeing do pretty much the same thing in locating and pinpointing creatures and objects within a certain range. One disadvantage with touchsight is that you don't see the true form of certain creatures. Doppelgangers, medusas, dragons and others all can shift...

    Rapid Shot feat for warlock?

Point Blank Shot works for Eldritch Blast. Yes. Rapid Shot is a Full-Round Action. You gain one additional attack with it. Deciding to use Rapid Shot means you're devoting a full round to attack. It no longer counts as a Standard action any time during that action. Your Eldritch Blast is ONLY...

    Rapid Shot feat for warlock?

Yes, the Eldritch Blast is treated in all respects as a ranged attack, uses a ranged touch attack to target enemies, but is a spell-like ability which uses a standard action to 'cast'. The Complete Arcane's human starting package recommends Toughness and Point Blank Shot for feats, I don't see...

    How do poisons work ?

No, constitution dropping from ability damage/drain also affects hit points. Check page 290 of the DMG for an example.

    Rapid Shot feat for warlock?

Eldritch Blasts are a spell-like ability that require a ranged touch attack. Therefore, it's a standard action to use, and you don't get iterative attacks with it. So, Rapid shot is useless for the Warlock

    Seeking a little advice

I'll agree with you. Spellcasting requires concentration from beginning to end, and holding your breath while underwater would make that a bit difficult. If I was DMing, I'd call for a concentration check, based on the number of rounds of holding your breath (con based), as well as level of the...

    Seeking a little advice

In the Rules Compendium, under Underwater combat, (and in the SRD) it states: Basically spells that require an attack roll, have a -2 penalty on attack rolls for every 5 feet of water they pass through/

    Complete Spell Lists

Wizard's site is a good place to start. Another one is this place, where you can set very specific class, school, level, time to cast, efffect, and other factors.

    Teleportation Circle - how many?

You would think so, but think about the destination. How are all of those people going to fit inside a 5' radius at the other end of the teleport? You cannot have people teleporting inside other people, nor can you have them ending up in midair. Best case scenario, the teleport circle will not...

    Teleportation Circle - how many?

I'll agree with you, it'll let them buff beforehand, but once they teleport in, they don't know what's waiting for them on the other side. Somebody may have tipped them off, or they may have an item that warns them of an incoming teleport. The opposing party may have Zone of Respite, or...

    Teleportation Circle - how many?

Outside of combat, you can fit many medium-sized people in a 5x5 foot square, you don't even need to be grappling each other. In a combat situation, the 3.5 D&D rules state that each character can't share a square (unless they're prone/squeezing/grappling) and still fight effectively. So you...

    Teleportation Circle - how many?

In that case, I'd say 4 people in the 10x10 square that's designated as the teleport circle area would be the max, if you wanted to teleport in and have all 4 ready to fight in the surprise round. Any more and those people would have to move outwards before they're able to fight effectively.

    Teleportation Circle - how many?

Considering it takes 10 minutes, or 100 rounds of combat to cast, I don't see you casting it in the thick of battle. If you were able to cast it, I could see you teleporting 4 characters at once, maybe more if you squeezed in characters.

    Teleportation Circle - how many?

Teleport Circle, lasts for 10 minutes per level of the caster, and it teleports anybody who stands in the area which the caster designates for the spell. So it could teleport as many people as the spell lasts.

    Iterative attacks and Precision damage

Ah, thank you, I must have missed that entry in the RC. So if the Ranger's favored enemy bonuses aren't counted as precision damage anymore, does that mean that it gets multiplied during a crit? -GV

    Iterative attacks and Precision damage

I know that sneak attacks count as precision damage. For sneak attacks, a rogue can deal sneak attacks for all their attack rolls, as long as their enemy's denied dex bonus to AC, or flanked. If they're invisible, only their first attack in the series counts for sneak attack damage. If greater...
