The problem with errataed books is that you essentially have to redo the whole page layout and graphic design. The only way they could do PDFs and Print-On-Demand Players Handbooks with continuous updates would be if the books didn't have illustrations

As long as the boosters are optional and only used to add even more random wackiness to a game it's all good... WotC has to entice us and convince us to buy stuff, but if they become too anoying, then no one will buy it
