What audio commentaries do you listen to/like on you LOTR DVDs?

I'm pretty sure those movies are long enough without having someone talk over them...

Does anybody know when the next operating system is due out?

Blech. I have to use OS X at work sometimes, and I hate it. You can't turn off any of the annoying eye candy without 3rd party programs or hacks. It also feels slow because everything has to spin, sparkle, and bake a cake before it will start doing anything. Maybe they'll fix it in Tiger...

    Which one doesn't suck?

Morrowind is boring as hell. I played Daggerfall to death, but couldn't get into Morrowind. I played for about 15 minutes before I decided that it was just more of the same. I'd save my money and adopt a cat or something.

JH NameGen Gold is going away

As of 4:00 PM Eastern Time today, JH NameGen Gold is officially off the market. Thanks to all who have supported it in the past year and a half or so. I hope it continues to be useful in your campaigns. Take care, Jeff

JH NameGen Gold is going away

Chaz, I hope the update is working well for you. Anyway, this is just a quick reminder that the software will disappear from RPGNow.com on Tuesday. Take care, all! Jeff

JH NameGen Gold is going away

As Fast Learner said, it's the support issue. Also, if it's only selling a copy once in a blue moon, I feel bad taking up RPGNow's "shelfspace". If you've got version 1.1.3, you're good. If not, email me at webmaster AT jhanson DOT com and I will make sure you get everything you need...

JH NameGen Gold is going away

Since I am no longer an active roleplayer, and am almost equally as inactive on the programming side, I have decided to retire my JH NameGen Gold name generation software. I will be cancelling my vendor account with RPGNow.com on August 31st, at which time JH NameGen Gold will cease to be...

    Farewell!

Probably the biggest hobby for me right now is building/refurbishing arcade machines. You know, classics like Pac-Man and such. That one takes a lot of time, money, and effort, but you can't beat the results. The other big one is doing home improvement projects. I have a bunch lined up for...

    Farewell!

I'm afraid you're mistaken, my friend. I haven't played in over a year, and only recently came back to the board in an ill-fated attempt to rekindle my interest. After hanging out here for a few weeks, I realized that I truely do not miss the game. I have moved on to other hobbies. But, the...

    Farewell!

What a long, strange trip it's been. I've met a lot of good people here, no doubt about that. I've gotten myself into a few brawls at the tavern, but mostly it's been a lot of fun fighting alongside all of you. But as I find myself adventuring less and less and my interests diverging from...

What shows do you watch after 10 pm (central, 11pm eastern)?

I either watch Nick at Nite or do something completely unrelated to TV. Usually the latter. The fact is, I probably watch 2 hours of TV a week. It might be turned on as background noise for another 3 or 4 hours, though. What on Adult Swim is worth watching? I used to watch Aqua Teen Hunger...

Need advice - good CRPG to waste the weekend

I found Morrowind amazingly boring. If you've played Daggerfall, like I did, and eventually burned yourself out on it, like I did, Morrowind is more of a chore than a game. I played it for a grand total of about 3 hours before I shelved it, never to be touched again. On the other hand, if you...

What DVD to watch first Tuesday?

I can appreciate that kind of film too, but this wasn't one of them. At least those are visually appealing, fun, and have decent effects. I found Underworld drab and boring on top of all the other things I listead above.

What DVD to watch first Tuesday?

I'm not trying to bash here, but what, exactly, is the draw to this movie? I rented it after seeing a lot of positive comments on here, but I thought it was awful. So I'm just wondering what everyone else is seeing that I'm not. I mean, in my opinion, the story was weak, the writing was bad...

What DVD to watch first Tuesday?

George who? Oh, is that the guy that added a bunch of junk to his already completed movies, just to resell them? :) I just thought it was interesting that you call the extended versions the "REAL" versions. No offense intended.

    Top Five Anime Picks

My favorite anime is the one with the people with oversized eyes, lots of choppy cuts in the action (almost enough to induce a seizure), and the women who giggle and act like they're 11 years old. What was the name of that one?

What DVD to watch first Tuesday?

I seem to remember a quote from Peter Jackson saying that the theatrical releases are the "definitive" ones. The extended editions are just that - extended.
