Gods, dead gods, and dominions: a list

The Character Builder lists Forgotten Realms Bane as a separate deity from Points of Light Bane (ditto Bahamut and I think Lolth). Similar concept, different continuity. Like the "Ultimate Avengers". PoL Bane is "Ultimate Bane".

    Runepriest in Action?

Off the top of my head, it makes the Con secondary option slightly more appealing because you won't have the Primary and Secondary stats both on the same NAD. (Con-secondary would also get a worse basic attack, but I don't know if that balances things any.)

    Roundabout Charge

It doesn't do anything any more, because they didn't consider the feat when they errataed the charge rules. Simply let a player with the feat retrain it into something else, until they release errata for the feat. EDIT: They also inadvertently did the same thing to Barrelling Charge when...

Line of Sight/Line of Effect and an Aegis

You ruled wrong. The swordmage's Aegis is a close burst power, so it only needs line of effect (not line of sight) to work. (Check the Burst entry in the Compendium's Glossary or in the Keyword definitions in PHB2.) Flavor-wise, the swordmage's aegis is a magical enchantment on the target, so...

Gods, dead gods, and dominions: a list

It's not even a retcon. 4e doesn't use the same default setting as 3rd ed so Heironeous simply never existing in the PoL setting. 3rd ed used Greyhawk as the setting in the non-setting specific books whereas 4e created an entirely new setting that borrowed and modified a handful of gods from...

    Kobold with a Bastar Sword

Yeah that was the first half of my post. I thought that there was some way of doing the same thing other than Eternal Defender.

    Kobold with a Bastar Sword

21st level Kobold Fighter - Eternal Defender could do it, since it would wield weapons as if it were medium sized. (A wrong but RAW interpretation of Sovereign Beast could make your kobold Large sized permanently.) I could have sworn there was some other way to wield extra large weapons...

2 gods Are better than 1

I don't think that this is right. Do you have a citation to back this claim? Now, Forgotten Realms has a specific relation to the gods, so you may be restricted there. But in general D&D, there's no rule restricting you in any way to a single god. The various Channel Divinities and domains...

Looking for help understanding a specific Ranger Power

But they could have specified more clearly: "Make a secondary attack that is a Ranged weapon attack" and similar lines appear in other powers.

Gods, dead gods, and dominions: a list

A dead god of doubt and indifference makes me want to play a warlord or cleric or paladin in the PoL setting. "Didn't you hear, soldier? The god of weakness is dead. So get up off the ground and start fighting." and "You've gotta pick a side and fight for what you believe in. Uncertainty was...

Looking for help understanding a specific Ranger Power

No, it's just a melee attack made with a ranged weapon. Normally you can't do that, but exception based design and all. So you make a melee attack with your bow, so the first part doesn't provoke. The second part technically should have the same keywords as the first unless the power says...

Gods, dead gods, and dominions: a list

Oh, the list of dead gods also is missing Zorthos, dead god of doubt and lassitude. His hollowed out head is now a bit of terrain floating in the Astral Sea (and described on page 29 of the Plane Above).

    Where is marking described?

The Compendium will refer you to the most recent authoritative source ont he subject, under the assumption that more recent books have errata/rules updates incorporated and have clearer explanations of the rules. If it refered you to earlier books, you might not get the clearest picture of the...

You're still missing Io. Perhaps you missed the edit to my prior post?

Can a Non-Hybrid Take a Hybrid Paragon Path?

Not really. Those classes are all still available to people who single class in one class and MC into the second (or Bards that MC into both). Hybrid qualifies, but it's not the only way to qualify.

Gods, dead gods, and dominions: a list

You seem to be missing Khala, the goddess of Winter before the Raven Queen. She's described in a sidebar or two in Divine Power. EDIT: And Io, dead dragon god now split in two.

    Same Character Changing Classes

Why should the player have to play a character he doesn't want for an entire level (which can be months of real time, depending on how many combats you do and how often you play). Why should he have to muck around with hybrid rules (and possibly either make a too-strong or too-weak character in...

    Same Character Changing Classes

The least drastic change, mechanically, would be to leave him as is, mechanically. Not all priests need to be of a divine class. He could be given the priesthood and respected as a priest and get all the social responsibilities and benefits that implies without any changes to his stats. If...

    Initiate of the Old Faith

Wildshaping does' change any stats or mechanical effects for your character, except for the ability to use beastform/non-beastform powers. If you want to be able to fly or climb or anything else like that, there are feats and druid Utility powers for such things. So if you only dabble into...
