Some opinions/concerns raised have been shouted down possibly, but I've seen many that have been argued effectively, not dismissed out of hand. Of course, changing someone else's mind is only somewhat harder than changing your own, so is therefore nearly impossible.

What if the base creature had none of these abilities, so you gave it a reduced ECL. Then later on it gained those abilities. Would you give it the bonus, and adjust its ECL?

I think he was just giving an example of extreme multiclassing, not endorsing it as a powerful character.
