Urban Horror In A Corrupt City: A Setting & Adventure Path for 5E, Pathfinder, and S&W

Yeah, one of my players also got separated in Ravenmoor and much paranoia ensued. It was very effective. From Shore To Sea also has a very unsettling vibe throughout, clearly influenced by Shadow Over Innsmouth, which I found translated very well into the adventure. When I switched from PF...

Urban Horror In A Corrupt City: A Setting & Adventure Path for 5E, Pathfinder, and S&W

Count me in, I've signed on for the Tome of Blighted Horrors and The Crooked Nail. Brandon Hodge has written some wonderfully creepy adventures like Feast of Ravenmoor and From Shore To Sea, both of which gave my players nightmares. Can't wait to see some of his work for 5e. You guys are awesome.

Urban Horror In A Corrupt City: A Setting & Adventure Path for 5E, Pathfinder, and S&W

I just upped my pledge to include The Crucible and Bloody Jack modules. Both sound awesome but I was hard pressed to choose as there are some great add-ons. Just over $17,000 to go before we get the 5e hardcover.

Urban Horror In A Corrupt City: A Setting & Adventure Path for 5E, Pathfinder, and S&W

Yes, I agree that Prymp is the better choice as well, although as you said, The Blight is a much bigger beast than the original Styes district. This is why I suggested Rel Astra. While not a perfect fit politically, it is a city-state that could accommodate Castorhage's size and could mesh well...

Urban Horror In A Corrupt City: A Setting & Adventure Path for 5E, Pathfinder, and S&W

Certainly, Richard. Since my campaigns are primarily set in Greyhawk, I'll mention it on the 5e forums to the good folks at Canonfire! I personally envision The Blight serving as the city-state of Rel Astra, or maybe Prymp in Ahlissa or along the coast of the Northern Kingdom. Is there another...

D&D 5E The Blight: 900 pages of Awesome for 5E

Not exactly, this is what Charles Wright at Frog God Games had to say: "Borderlands Provinces was always meant to be for 5E as well as the other two lines. In fact, Adventures in the Borderland Provinces was initially writing in the 5E format and converted to Pathfinder and Swords & Wizardry...

Urban Horror In A Corrupt City: A Setting & Adventure Path for 5E, Pathfinder, and S&W

Consider me dared, I pledged for the hardcover. I've run Pett"s work since The Styes first appeared in Dungeon Mag and then later his PF material and my group always had a great time. Now that we"ve moved on to 5e, his work has been sorely missed at our gaming table. To see The Blight as a...

D&D 5E The Slumbering Tsar Saga 5e conversion wiki (with FGG approval!)

Great idea, qu0zl, a wiki is an excellent forum to tackle this. Thanks so much for setting this up! I'll definitely contribute where/when I can. One question: why start it for 5th level? Is this a personal preference or is 5th level for 5e proportionate to PF 7th level? Just curious.

D&D 5E Anyone played to 20th level and kept going?

Most solo monsters have a tough time at high level in any edition. I recently came across The Angry GM's advice for 5e boss fights, so I gave it a try for my 9th level group and it works very well. I recommend giving it a try...

C1: The Hidden Shrine of Tamoachan

Wow! That's great conversion work you've done! Hidden Shrine is one of the very few 1st edition modules I never had the chance to run but always wanted to. I may be able to insert it into one of my current campaigns, so I will definitely use this. Thanks very much, I appreciate your efforts!

D&D 5E Princes of the Apocalypse in Greyhawk

The original Temple of Elemental Evil is a great dungeon and if that is what you're set on doing then your players will likely have a blast. I ran it twice back in the day and, although neither party survived, they all really enjoyed it. As an alternative temple, you could easily use the...

D&D 5E Princes of the Apocalypse in Greyhawk

It wouldn't take a lot of work to port this into GH, which is what I plan to do. As suggested in the module, Red Larch becomes Hommlet and the Dessarin Valley becomes the eastern Kron Hills. Most of the surrounding locations can be fitted into GH, or not at all if it doesn't suit your needs...

    D&D 5E Recommend a 4th Level Module

I don't have any new 5e modules I can recommend, but I've been running the original Slavelords series for a little while and, because it's mostly humanoids, it's been a breeze to convert. Some old stuff is more work than others to convert, but the Slavelords is pretty simple.

D&D 5E The Arctic Campaign and 5th edition

I've been prepping a 1st level arctic campaign for 5th edition that I started running with my players recently (Legacy of the Crystal Shard transplanted into Blackmoor). I do think there's a good middle ground between making the environment a fun challenge and a tedious bore. Initially I used a...

D&D 5E Running the classics in 5e - best of the best?

I am also running this campaign in 5th. Although we are still only at Darkshelf Quarry, the conversion has been very simple so far. I would also highly recommend The Lost Caverns of Tsojcanth, but I'm not sure if it's available on pdf at DnD Classics.

    D&D 5E Updating classic A&D adventures for D&D 5e: a work under development

I ran this module back when it first came out. It wasn't a great adventure but some of the middle parts were fun. The encounter with Kas was cool and there was an outdoor ritual that was also a fun encounter. But yeah, the first and last encounter are force-fed to the point that the players are...

D&D 5E Sell me on the World of Greyhawk please

Defined with broad strokes, Greyhawk is a darker, grittier world than Forgotten Realms, with less direct-deity involvement. It has the fantastical elements of Tolkien's Middle Earth but with the grim tone of Howard's Hyboria. If that appeals to your game tastes then Greyhawk is for you. It...

    D&D 5E Good Introductory 5E Adventure?

I'd recommend Legacy of the Crystal Shard. It was a playtest module WotC published and is excellent.

Merric's Erratically Updated Reviews of old D&D adventures

I just discovered an updated version of The Dark Tower by Goodman Games. Its designed for character levels 8 - 10, but I have not yet had an opportunity to read it. Nice to see the more obscure classics getting revamped. I just bought the pdf of Necropolis and look forward to reading it. I...
