Minions with 1hp - Can anyone justify this?

First, you are doing much MUCH more damage at the epic tier. Second, the 1HP rule is only there to guarantee that they fall fast. The might as well have 10 HP at high levels; you're going to be doing at least that much damage at that point. However, it's simpler to just "heh, they die when they...

    Berbalang Nonsense

No, as it is 25% of the current HP. If a Berbalang has 90 and no duplicate (he was attacked in a surprise round, for instance), 25% of his current HP is 22.5. Note current. Other spawns act in the same way as normal damage.

    Proud Nails?

Wands are also very useful, as you can give all your powers the keyword of the power contained in a wand - see here.

    Reviewing the Artificer

Here's the message I sent to the email address they gave. Pretty much sums up my thoughts. ------------------- I have played a session with an artificer character. We did mostly combat encounter, of course. Here are things that I think should be improved or built upon. 1) Short-rest prepared...

UBER Dragonborn Fighter or Paladin Defender...we can build him!

The Paladin's At-Will don't count towards the powers you can choose from, no. One thing on channel divinity: you can only use one of the various powers linked to CD in any given encounter; in effect, they count as a single power, with multiple ways to use it.

    Gelatinous Cube vs. Swap Places

You know, I have absolutely no idea. Time for Rule 0/common sense, I guess. Bah, never liked the bastards anyways. a cube of jelly that digests people.[/i] Really.[/i]

D&D 4E What is your favorite part of 4e?

The creation of an actual, efficient archer class without useless crap tacked on (4E ranger). I like the archetype of the battlefield archer, but 3.5 was pretty poor at actually doing it. 3.5e Rangers were meh (and, as I said, had useless Aragorn-ish stuff tacked on); Fighters were (obviously)...

    Disarm, Overrun, Sunder

Too complex would be my bet. Overrun works in a kinda wonky way; disarm requires a separate mechanic and several checks; sunder is a mix of the previous two, AND it can be a "gotcha" mechanic to screw players out of their magic gear.

    Polymorph - Gone?!?

You can always play a doppleganger... I mean, it's pretty restricted (only other kind of humanoids) but it's still better then anything else we have ATM.

How WotC drove me to WoW

Even if YOU don't have the MM, someone in your group definitely should. As such, there's no problem creating a gnome (or shifter, of changeling, or warforged). I have the MM in front of me right now. The differences between PHB writeups and these entries are the following: -No fluff (although...

    D&D 4E Rate your interest in 4e.

One thing on the defences being affected by two ability score: it's only affected by one, whichever is highest. It makes sense, IMHO. Sure, you can dodge that fireball if you're quick enough, but you also might be able to if you are able to see it coming (int). Likewise, it fits with things like...
