Thanks, Ilium, you put it much better than I did. I played D&D up to 10th or 11th level, and levelling up became increasingly more rare, because of the really challenging encounters doing the same ... :D

Well, I once played RQ3 and will never go back from d20 to a d100 engine. If Mongoose scraps the Conan OGL game - one of the best and most beautiful games on the market - they have one customer less.

On planning a modern/sci-fi campaign, I'm considerung using the True20 rules set, with d20Modern/Future feats and class features freely put into the feat slots of the True20 roles. Has anybody already tried out a similar use of True20 as a portal for using the odds and ends of another d20 game...

Concerning XPH-Races: as much as I like them, I won't use them in my Eberron games, because I feel that Eberron ist the Kalashtars' and the Inspireds' playground as far as psionics go. Just my two cents ...

I have the book since last Friday. I can really recommend giving this setting a try! It rocks.

My campaign preference would be a start in Zamora, and then perhaps, following some sorcerous plots, down to Stygia, or through Turan and Hyrkania to Khitai. Or ... or ... This world is so awesome big!
