    D&D Movie/TV New D&D Movie: July 23rd 2021

Whats wrong with a reasonably subtle nod to the game's modern fandom?

If there's a big tavern scene, (which is a probability) instead of just random extras, they could have the Critical Roll guys, the Waffle Crew, Aquisitions Inc., and whoever else in costume as their adventuring parties in between campaigns, so to speak. Sort of a fantasy Mos Eisley.

D&D 5E These just gave me the weirdest idea. [Character Deck]

Looks like someone did both Spell (actually GF9's cards) and Monster (using GF9's template) as a database. http://hardcodex.ru/ Now, all we would need are the Item and Stats cards. Plus artwork for everything.

    D&D 5E D&D movie, take note...

I'm not saying they should try to emulate one medium with another, that defeats the point of making a film instead of just turning 'Dice, Camera, Action' into a Fathom Event. I was saying they need to pull from the unique points of the setting (read: The Realms). Practically everyone knows at...

D&D 5E These just gave me the weirdest idea. [Character Deck]

So, I I hear that TSR apparently put out Trading Cards for D&D and they gave me an odd idea: a Character Deck. https://www.tradingcarddb.com/Checklist.cfm/sid/81172 You see those cards that are basically trading-card-sized character sheets with pre-made artwork (of questionable quality) on...

    D&D 5E D&D movie, take note...

At that rate, what's the point of making a 'Dungeons & Dragons' movie if you're actively making it unrecognizable as 'Dungeons & Dragons'? If you want a property to stand out, you lean on its unique features, you don't ignore them for the elements everyone's seen a hundred times. "We don't don't...

I had always thought there were two ways to do the D&D movie 1) Do the standard High Fantasy Road Trip story just on Faerûn. 3-5 heroes of various skill sets (Caster, Fighter, and Thief OR Divine Caster Arcane Caster, Ranged Fighter, Melee Fighter and Thief) trek across the Forgotten Realms to...

D&D 5E [GUIDE] Power Overwhelming: A Sorcerer Guide

I love this guide. I was wondering where you'd place the Pyromancer origin from Planes Shift: Kaladesh (magic.wizards.com/en/articles/archive/feature/plane-shift-kaladesh-2017-02-16) in it. I love this origin but no one's talking about it. (Google keeps giving me 3.5e threads.) So, thought?
