Actually, if you do the steps he outlines on one of your expired subscriptions, you can add in a new CC/debit card and update your info. That was my original problem, my debit card went missing and I had to get a new one.

The real sad thing is, I'd continue to pay for the service until this campaign ended. My group actually enjoys the 4th Edition rules and when I mention to them the prospect of 5th Edition, I get some push back.

I contacted WOTC via Twitter and then called support and get this, they couldn't update my cc info over the phone and have no way to upgrade it online. My subscription was supposed to renew on 12/25, but I'm in limbo...

My home game is still playing 4th Edition. We however use the D&D Insider tools. We're basically going to keep 4E until we don't have a browser that supports Silverlight.

The character just fades to the background for the session the player is not there. I award the absent pc 1/2 the xp earned by the group, but none of the treasure.

I've had this happen a couple of times in my regular game. If a player isn't happy with their character, there's no point forcing them to continue to play that character. I'll talk with the player first when they bring up the desire to change, to see if the issue is something that can be fixed...
