    3. x Does D&D have a "Watcher" creature?

If you are going to make something, an outsider may make the most sense as a template, the not needing to eat or sleep thing is really what shoots out to me as seeing the most fitting.

    3. x Does D&D have a "Watcher" creature?

I think time dragons only watched things, as interfering was too dull if I remember right, they are epic level dragons in one of the magazines. They are pretty over the top though, their intelligence surpasses boccob's.

Vorpal and Sharpness and Fumble rules...

Our solution to the whole fumbled impact people negatively if they have more attacks thing, was you can only fumble on your first attack each round. We didn't justify it other than mechanically. However if I was asked to do so it could be along the lines of the idea that you are gaining your...

Vorpal and Sharpness and Fumble rules...

I think what dandu is getting at, is with those vorpal rules, after 20 rounds the fighter should statistically have killed himself

Vorpal and Sharpness and Fumble rules...

In our game we use the simple idea that you over swung or did something to throw you off balance, skipping your next turn and leaving you flat footed (also using any touch spell you may have attempted up) I wouldn't have vorpal or sharpness do that, as I dont want to punish people for buying...

    (pure) scout builds

Well since you want ranged fire power, and someone had to mention 'splitting' from Champions of ruin, it is a +3 enhancement that allows you to split every arrow into two meaning two attacks per arrow and double damage. Most DM's don't allow it because it is over powered, on the other hand...

    DM Help with Exalted Deeds

To not totally nerf him, if you make an average of 1/4 encounters immune to his aura. Then his ability is generally useful, as it should be, but at-least you can start to work some combat back into your campaign. frankthedm's suggestion is reasonable and fair, if you are having too much trouble...

Can you help me to determine what alignment is this?

He puts others before himself, but only if he is close to them. This while lawful is also good in nature. To always put others before yourself, is something good. Here he is shown to be loving, and critical of others who are not so kind, and at the same time, not zealous or overbearing in...

Looking for tips on creating a Futuristic/post-apocolyptic setting

All fantasy games obviously benefit from nit picking your favourite point of other fantasy games, I tend to enjoy incoperating idea's from books or films that I like into my games. An obvious source for this would be fall out, nearly everyone has played fallout 3, and it gives a basic idea of...

Rope Trick VS Discern Location... Rope Trick wins!!!

If your location is un-discernible through magic (other than mind blank) then clearly you have used a spell to circumnavigate the ability. If in the rope tricks pocket dimension you cant be found, you have successfully overcome the spell. So it must name the location of your pocket dimension...

Rope Trick VS Discern Location... Rope Trick wins!!!

Maybe we should think about how discern location works for the actual character? The spell says they get the exact location, and then lists what it would tell you. So first you would know the plain, then the planet, then the country, then the city, then the part of the city, then the building...

The Monk isn't MAD... he's ENRAGED!!!!

So the wizard gets a free action while the monk is climbing... a wizard can do a lot with an action.

The Monk isn't MAD... he's ENRAGED!!!!

Antimagic Torc in Underdark, p.73. Cast Antimagic Field 1/day as a caster level 11 for 25,000gp Bear in mind the monk is faster than the wizard, and the wizard then needs a counter to this. If the wizard in return has a counter to antimagic field such as a giant hat with shrink item...

    Mechanical Combat Roleplaying Rewards

The rewards shouldn't be too large, if I was going to do this, I would give a +1, +2 or if absolutely excellent +3 bonus to hit. The other option is +5% experience for good consistent role play.

The Monk isn't MAD... he's ENRAGED!!!!

Just to quickly add, you can pull the rope up in rope trick, so its a little harder than that. there is also the alarm spell.

The Monk isn't MAD... he's ENRAGED!!!!

Drowbane They aren't tanks, that is for sure, but more health is always an obvious advantage, even if it is less important at high levels.

    Gaming accessories

Spray painting bark chippings grey makes for excellent stones. And while your local park probably wouldn't miss 4 bark chippings, you probably should be buying them.

The Monk isn't MAD... he's ENRAGED!!!!

Fighters also have martial weapon proficiency, so they atleast have the option of a stronger range offense than the monk, even if it is just them sinking just over 1000 gold into say a +8 strength master-work composite long bow. Add splitting to that for 18000 gold and you have yourself 8 shots...

How long, in-game, does it take to gain a level? (RttToEE)

I think the unfortunate side effect of this is, only you can judge your PC's progress. You may want to do a couple of things. First look at your PC's, what kind of characters do they have, possibly compare them using the tier list . Once you have a fair gauge of what they can and can't beat...
