    Help a Handless Rogue

Yeah I did, type and what not xD And I know its +6, but there are cheesy ways to bring it down and not count it, so it wouldnt be +6 anymore.

    Help a Handless Rogue

Spectral Hand can fight normally and cast touch spells. It defiantly implies it works like a normal hand. If you use the already cheesy permanent metamagic, and find a way to shove it into an eternal wand, then you have a somewhat cheesy way of using a hand as normal.

Does equipment and spell effects stack if simmilar?

Both sound like enchantments to me, and obviously enchantment bonus' dont stack.

In 2007, how did you see hits and hit points?

The way I see it is hitpoints are obviously incredibly unrealistic, and so I like to keep in mind basically everyone in D&D is a little superhuman and that it is a game (and a good game too), so we have to treat it as such. I guess I view it more like an anime, where almost every blow is...

    40 lair gestalt dungeon crawl

Our group is unfortunately disbanding soon due to reasons of going to university. To end our D&D with a bang I am prepairing a 40 lair dungeon each with a 25000 foot area. Making it is pretty quick, pretty easy and pretty fun. Each player is a level 15 most likely gestalt character. I let them...

Help me list spells that make skills irrelevant.

The level 1 paladin spell 'sticky saddle' in draggon 299 not only makes it impossible for you to fall off your mount, but also requires someone to take a DC 20 strength check to shove you off. That just about covers ride :P

Help me list spells that make skills irrelevant.

Appraise: Lots of divinations, including commune with lesser spirit/contact other plane. Craft: To some degree polymorph any object. getting duration permanent by changing a stone to a statue, or iron filings into an iron sword works fine. You Can't make anything valuable though, Disable...

    Beguiler Build and group despair.

Defiantly worth experience, and a very good all round idea, unfortunately we purchased a castle which we enjoy building and improving, leaving to gather information, artefacts, or deal with foreign threats, meaning we need someone good at social encounters mainly for interrogating prisoners...

    Beguiler Build and group despair.

I've been less active as of late since I have had less spare time, missed you guys I see on the boards. My friend who has never played D&D except for a faux campaign where they played all the players and I built in a day to teach them the rules wants to join our party. We found our scout is...

    A-M vs. Dead Magic (?)

Antimagic field is defined just fine, it causes problems with munchkins, but for any reasonable use your DM's ruling should work just fine. Its pretty much common sense. You cant cast within it, there is no line of effect within it, and any duration spell is temporarily suppressed. I know I...

    A-M vs. Dead Magic (?)

A dead magic zone is overcome with a caster level check of DC 20 + the level of the spell you want to cast. So you determine it that way.

    A-M vs. Dead Magic (?)

Only thing I have to add is from the Initiate of Mystra feat It lets you cast in dead magic zones and anti-magic fields and the DC's are different Dead magic zone - you make a caster level check against a DC equal to 20 + spell level antimagic field - you make a caster level check against a DC...

    D&D 3E/3.5 D&D 3.5 - Crafting question (magic items)

Well it sounds a bit like the speed enchantment, but if it works for anything there are a couple of ways to look at it, if you like what is put above. a) The character could just buy a weapon crystal to do the job b) Think about how useful it is, and price it as if they had put the speed...

I'd hate to confirm your suspicions, but from what I am reading, it looks like it only hits a single target.

    Monstrous Humanoid = Humanoid?

For spells like hold person I think it is their body which matters, so hold person is more likely to work than hold monster, but for spells like alter-self, I look towards the much stricter polymorph rules.

    Item pricing and limitations

I imagine magic items work by being attuned to manipulation by all beings, it is probably easier to make a spell which only works for one type of being, fluff wise. And in response to it being just, If you had house ruled it at the start of the game, it would be fair, but if you threw it on...
