    Monsters with <1 HD

But the "always round down" rule used with the fighter formula (BAB = HD) seems to point to 0.

    Rock Throwing Giant

Thanks for those examples. It does seem there is no formula, only the skill of the individual race. The SRD says "A giant of at least Large size can hurl rocks weighing 40 to 50 pounds each (Small objects) up to 5 range increments." But that doesn't tell me much of diddly squat for figuring...

    Monsters with <1 HD

This is an important question. I've been treating partial HD monsters as 0 BAB. Are there any partial HD Monstrous Humanoids or Magical Beasts in the SRD to verify this?

Should the mustard jelly have an int score?

In d20 publishing, it probably is all about satisfying the rules lawyers; and if oozes are strictly forbidden from INT scores, there's your answer.

    Rock Throwing Giant

A Huge giant can hurl rocks of 60 to 80 pounds (Medium-size objects). What would be the range and damage basis for these weapons? The SRD isn't very clear on the details or the formula for deriving them.

It's the March Movie Monster Mayhem Marathon Challenge!

Thanks. I got 3 feats and 15 skill points using the old method, so it's not too terribly different.

It's the March Movie Monster Mayhem Marathon Challenge!

I don't have Savage Species in this month's budget. If the INT was 5 and the HD was 10, how many skill ranks and feats would that be by 3.5ish calculations?

It's the March Movie Monster Mayhem Marathon Challenge!

Since I won't be peeking at either of those sources, it will be interesting. By appearance, I would say the creature is more Monstrous Humanoid than Giant, but by habits, abilities & saving throws, more like a Giant. So I think I'll make him a Giant, but so distantly related that he doesn't...

It's the March Movie Monster Mayhem Marathon Challenge!

I claim this dude. Cyclops from Seventh Voyage of Sinbad. He's much better with those chopsticks when his food isn't running around.

But there are other Reptillian Humanoids, and not all have long tails.

Does Anyone Else Find It A Tad Bit Ridiculous That...

There's no reason, either, that in your world you couldn't a) Make all dragons "Usually Neutral" just like humans or elementals. b) Have isolated cultures of dragons with unusual alignment for their breed. c) Have a species of dragon you created that only looks like one of the standard dragon...

A tribute to Dogma by Kevin Smith, it's...

Swamp Thing is a toughie. He started as a human, became a plant, and evolved into an elemental.

This wouldn't have anything to do with the four Excremental Planes, would it? Excremental Plane of Perspiration Excremental Plane of Mucus Excremental Plane of Feces Excremental Plane of Urine

    poll: Star Trek race conversion

I voted for ECLs. Even though I think Klingons could be pared back to equal humans, any downward adjustments to make Vulcans equal would either be inaccurate or insufficient.

OK, What Do You Want to See?

Cherufe is a Chilean lava demon that might work for an Incan campaign.

[OT] if you wonder why i've been quiet lately...

That advice to put some distance between you and the crap rang true to me. It'll cost you some money, but the situation is beyond your control.

    Urinal Guardianal

That'll be great to see! I wonder if there's enough goofball parody monsters to make a net book.
