    Ghost in the Shell (Teaser)

Few people care about diversity. Her role as Black Widow and Lucy in Lucy probably convinved the producers she is viable as an action star and draw crowds to an sci-fi action flick by herself. Lucy, a sci-fi action flick staring Johansson, made 463 million dollars world wide on a 40 million...

[September 2016] What are you reading?

Ancillary Justice is definately worth the read. Leckie worked on it for years. The sequels were written faster and need more polishing.

    D&D 2E Leveling Up in 2E

Legendary locations and artifacts can give extra XP to the entire group pretty quickly. Bathing in the Fountain of Souls could give 10,000 xp to each players. Stricking three times the Bell of Creation could give 25,000 xp to each player in its immediate vicinity. Just make sure it is a one time...

    Ghost in the Shell (Teaser)

The esthetics of #1 and 5 are awesome and promising. GitS was alwasy more about esthetics than plot and characters dept, so if writers did something decent this could be the start of a whole new franchise! Ew. Franchise. Never mind. Maybe the start of a wave of white washed live action...

    Captain America: Civil War (spoilers)

Leagues above Bats v Sups. Not even close. Much better than Ultron too. Probably not the best in the franchise, but maybe the best paced and the tightest screenplay. Every scene brings something.

UPDATE: Politics/Religion no longer permitted again!

With Trump being the Republican nominee, I regret that we cannot discuss this once in a life time phenomenon.

Bay keeps ruining your childhood..TMMNT new trailer

From what we've seen. Trailers nowadays often show us the best parts of films to get us to see them. So far with this film... It is the film that looks the closest to the cartoon.

Bay keeps ruining your childhood..TMMNT new trailer

Cool. Saw the best gag of the film (arms of the van getting ripped off). No need to see it.

    New "Block" functionality not working?

If you could make it that we could see threads started by people who blocked us, that would be cool too. We just do not see those threads even if posters who haven't blocked us posted in those threads. And vice versa. It would avoid multiple threads on a same subject.

    New "Block" functionality not working?

The comments. You can see and quote people who blocked you when an article is in "news format". At least on a laptop. I think. More like irony, Morrus. EW is a public forum. That is what is interesting about it. Making it less public makes it less attractive and potentially bad for business. But...

    New "Block" functionality not working?

The block feature doesn't work when you view articles via the news section and you can still quote them. This is what I mean by news section: http://www.enworld.org/forum/content.php?3393-A-New-Pathfinder-Monster-Creation-System-From-Owen-Stephens#.VyiQ8fnhDIU Quickly, people's feelings might...

New issue of Dragon+ (April '16)

It is a valid critique to make. What is the worse that could happen? They change its name? It stays the same? People are free to voice their opinion even if you do not share it. They trully exist. And they buy stuff. It is what one of the founders of the new online store that was announced a few...

New issue of Dragon+ (April '16)

Except UA actually has content. Naming the app Dragon+ seems like a bait and switch. Especially in an edition with very little crunch. And I get that WotC is a business and they can do what ever they want. Those facts do not prevent me from being critical of the choices it makes. Ultimately...

It is a coincidence the mailing list shares the same name as the mag or is it a conscious act?

[April 2016] What are you reading?

People have to pay to vote and I think that is valid for two years but I could be mistaken. So next year the fevor of the RPs might go down. They will still e vulnerable to slates though.

[April 2016] What are you reading?

On intention and masterminding everything. It is probably less of a brilliant plot and more, as G.R.R. Martin wrote, a f-u to some people. There is a parallel to be made with... literature. Critics sometimes over analyze and give intentions where authors did not have any. Vox Day just seems...

[April 2016] What are you reading?

It is probably giving them too much credit. The novel category is probably off limits for their strategy since a few novels and authors will gather a consensus early on. Their voting block is relatively small and can't pierce that wall. In the more obscure categories like short story where votes...

[April 2016] What are you reading?

On their slate were works like Seveneves by Neal Stephenson, Neil Gaiman's latest Sandman comics, and films like the Martians. It seems like they are pushing mainstream stuff or stuff that would have gotten nominated anyway and claim it was because of them. John Scalzi wrote a good article on...
