The change from 2e to 3rd was huge. Bigger than 3rd to 4th. The 3rd edition chassis is very solide and it is why it was used with 4e and is still used with 5e and PF 2e. Arguably, 5e is 3e lite.

Reading Philip K. Dick's A Scanner Darkly. Not too bad, but you sort of know where it is going even if you have no idea where it is going.

3rd edition (3.0, 3.5 and 3.75 (aka Pathfinder)) lasted more or less 20 years. That is almost as good as 1st edition D&D. It lasted 21 years. Pathfinder had a very good run. It even dethroned D&D for a while. Paizo pas bound to make PF 2e. The dissapointment comes from the lack of backward...

The D&D film is coming! Lol. The problem is that there is no good D&D story or characters that can be turned into a film. Part of the problem is that D&D is a game where people are the heroes.

I'm curious to see how much money fans, and other people who are influencial, will poor into a game setting and rules system they do not really use.

I find too many people leave reviews the day the product was released. They can't have read it or even playtest it. It is just fans who are loyal to a brand. Not real reviews.
