My Biggest disappoitment was that the player character was only allowed to be human. Demihumans made DA: Origins for me. I found the Dwarves in particular a rich font for plot and story and to not have the ability to get into that in DA2 felt really bad.

I think you picked a good cut off with 3e. Enworld started with 3e in 2000 and Eric Noah so it makes sense that the 'memory' of this website also starts with 3e. Trying to explain the back end of 2nd and 1st could get messy.
