I think half-orcs and half-elves have to take all 3 of their paragon levels before taking any levels in human, orc, or elf paragon classes, if I'm not mistaken.

Well, I've done a half-orc monk once before, so I'll probably not go with that option. I forgot about the variant wizard, though, and may do that instead.

Well Wraithstrike is broken enough that I'd feel too guilty even asking if it is allowed. :p Swift and immediate action spells are good, though; I'll check some of the duskblade ones, since I think most are also on the Sor/Wiz list.

I'd definitely say that those would overlap rather than stack since the Goliath is still size medium.

I'd say the multiclassing restrictions for monks and paladins qualifies for at least the second definition. There is nothing about these classes from a balance perspective to suggest the need for additional restrictions outside of the normal multiclassing rules, so adding extra restrictions is...

By the letter of the rules - no. As a DM I'd likely allow it, since it would be an equivalent gain that other fighting classes get for choosing this race, so I don't see the harm in allowing it for the Goliath monk. Same applies to a Goliath soulknife IMO.

No more than 1 level of a non-spellcaster progressing class, or two if the concept is cool enough to justify it. So, primarily a spellcaster with some kind of odd twist.
