    Feat to hasten summoning spells?

Cool feat, but probably not worth the higher spell level slot for the Monster Summoning spells, though. Thanks!

"Sudden" metamagic feats...am I missing something?

I was taking a look at the "sudden" metamagic feats in Complete Arcane, and they seemed kind of overpowered, unless I'm missing a restriction (other than only once/day). For example, sudden maximize only requires one other metamagic feat as a prereq, so a 3th-level wizard could presumably...

    Feat to hasten summoning spells?

I'm wondering if there's a feat or whatnot that allows Monster Summoning spells and the like to be cast more quickly than normal?

    half-orc wizard suggestions

I like it! Can you point me to some familiar-boosting spells, then?

    half-orc wizard suggestions

I think half-orcs and half-elves have to take all 3 of their paragon levels before taking any levels in human, orc, or elf paragon classes, if I'm not mistaken.

    half-orc wizard suggestions

Well, I've done a half-orc monk once before, so I'll probably not go with that option. I forgot about the variant wizard, though, and may do that instead.

    half-orc wizard suggestions

Well Wraithstrike is broken enough that I'd feel too guilty even asking if it is allowed. :p Swift and immediate action spells are good, though; I'll check some of the duskblade ones, since I think most are also on the Sor/Wiz list.

    half-orc wizard suggestions

First of all, I am well aware that half-orcs make suboptimal wizards, so no need to state the obvious. :D It doesn't really bother me that much; just felt like doing something different. Anyway, my question is: what can I do to optimize this character a bit within the confines of my race...

    Rogue / Cleric combos

What are some good Cleric/Rogue prestige classes that don't take too much away from spellcasting? In this case, I am looking for advancement options for a fellow player's Rogue 1 / Cleric 6. She is Human with the Able Lerner feat, and concentrates on social skills: bluff, perform, gather info...

    Arcane spellcasting based on wisdom

I'm guessing then that you're not a fan of the "Ascetic Mage" feat from CAdv? ;)

    Goliath Monk: Which Unarmed Damage?

I'd definitely say that those would overlap rather than stack since the Goliath is still size medium.

    Most superfluous rule?

I'd say the multiclassing restrictions for monks and paladins qualifies for at least the second definition. There is nothing about these classes from a balance perspective to suggest the need for additional restrictions outside of the normal multiclassing rules, so adding extra restrictions is...

    Goliath Monk: Which Unarmed Damage?

By the letter of the rules - no. As a DM I'd likely allow it, since it would be an equivalent gain that other fighting classes get for choosing this race, so I don't see the harm in allowing it for the Goliath monk. Same applies to a Goliath soulknife IMO.

    Most superfluous rule?

Multi-classing restrictions for paladins and monks.

    Best race for a bard?

If you are playing in the Forgotten Realms and want a more martial bard build, a Gold Dwarf would make an interesting choice: +2 CON, -2 DEX (no CHA penalty). If you take a level of fighter, you can get access to more weapons including the dwarven waraxe, and if you take the battle caster feat...

Making a different kind of wizard

Awesome suggestions! I forgot to mention that the DM isn't using level adjustments; I can pick-up level-adjusted races with no penalties, so long as the power level isn't too unreasonable. Maybe I could do something unexpected like a Goliath (and he wouldn't be so easy to grapple, either!)...

Making a different kind of wizard

No more than 1 level of a non-spellcaster progressing class, or two if the concept is cool enough to justify it. So, primarily a spellcaster with some kind of odd twist.

Making a different kind of wizard

I'm thinking of running a wizard for my next character, but I want to do something different build-wise. Not necessarily more powerful, just different. It's hard to explain what I mean by "different", though, but here's some examples with other classes: bard: a meele focused bard maybe using...

Paladin is out; she's playing a LE human who is trying to redeem herself.

    Fighter with high charisma?

So, I have a player who wants to put one of her high stats into CHA, but otherwise wants to pretty much be a fighter, with no more than a level or 2 of another class thrown in. Given this, what feats are out there where a high CHA would be a benefit? I know there's a feat in the dracominicon...
