It seems to be almost universally agreed that Goliaths are a strong ECL +1 race based on their strong stat adjustments (+4 STR, +2 CON, -2 DEX) coupled with their powerful build class feature. Of those who have seen these guys in play, does anyone think they should actually be ECL +2?

What are some good ECL0 choices to replace the ECL +X races in the chart. This takes place in the Forgotten Realms, 3.5, with most supplemental material allowed.

I've recently had a character die in my campaign, and the PCs have access to a druid who can cast reincarnation, but not raise dead. For those who have had a character brought back through reincarnation, how was it handled if the character got a race with a level adjustment and/or racial hit dice?

I never liked psionics much until the latest revision. Earlier versions had too many problems IMO. There are still some problems with it now, but not too terrible.

I think they're a better bard than the bard. They have a much better skill list, and are full casters, unlike bards. Bards were never that great in combat, anyway, so losing their medium BAB isn't that big of a sacrifice in exchange for their other abilities IMO.

As before, I like them all, so going by what I think adds the least to the game, I say duskblade: I like the fighting mage as a core class, but there are other ways of accomplishing the same thing, so it's not strictly necissary.

I like them all, but at this point I'm thinking "which class adds the least to the game"? My answer is archivist, even though I really love the flavor of that class.

Gak; I can't believe that psion is tied for the loss with the knight! I like the knight for the most part, but I think the psion is more valuable and has proven itself as a worthy class. Save the psion and vote off the knight! :D

Thanks everyone. I'm not the one thinking of playing a warlock (not my cup of tea), but I have a player for a new game I'll be starting that is thinking of doing so. If he does, I'll pass along some of these suggestions.

If you're going the DEX fighter route, I'd strongly consider going with a whisper gnome if the DM allows them.
