    Should Goliaths be ECL +2?

It seems to be almost universally agreed that Goliaths are a strong ECL +1 race based on their strong stat adjustments (+4 STR, +2 CON, -2 DEX) coupled with their powerful build class feature. Of those who have seen these guys in play, does anyone think they should actually be ECL +2?

What are some good ECL0 choices to replace the ECL +X races in the chart. This takes place in the Forgotten Realms, 3.5, with most supplemental material allowed.

    Reincarnation and ECL/racial hit dice

I've recently had a character die in my campaign, and the PCs have access to a druid who can cast reincarnation, but not raise dead. For those who have had a character brought back through reincarnation, how was it handled if the character got a race with a level adjustment and/or racial hit dice?

    Paladin suggestions

I've recently lost a character, and now I've brought in a new one at 4th-level: a human paladin. I'm pretty happy with the build so far, but would like ideas for future development: feats, stat points, must-have items, etc. Here's him now: STR: 16 DEX: 8 CON: 14 INT: 10 WIS: 14 CHA: 14...

    Low-level Wizard feat suggestions

This is a new character, and he hasn't decided on feats yet. Prohibited schools are enchantment and necromancy.

    Low-level Wizard feat suggestions

I have a player who is entering my campaign with a 4th-level Gnome transmuter, and is asking me for feat suggestions. Allowed sources are all core supplements, and Forgotten Realms material as well. I'm also cool with cherry-picking some Eberron stuff if it seems to fit. Stats are as follows...

    Procrastinating DM needs dungeon

I'm preparing an adventure last-minute for my group of 2nd-level PCs. Does anyone know of any free dungeons available on the Web that I could use? Ideally, it would be something generic like a map and maybe some room descriptions that I could flavor and populate based on my needs for this...

    Non-Core Class Survivor Spin-off: Pro-psionics or anti-psionics

I never liked psionics much until the latest revision. Earlier versions had too many problems IMO. There are still some problems with it now, but not too terrible.

Non-Core Class Survivor: Round 15 (The Final 5)

:( My favorite new class is now gone :( I'm voting duskblade again for the same reason as before.

    Non-Core Class Survivor: Round 14

I think they're a better bard than the bard. They have a much better skill list, and are full casters, unlike bards. Bards were never that great in combat, anyway, so losing their medium BAB isn't that big of a sacrifice in exchange for their other abilities IMO.

    Non-Core Class Survivor: Round 14

As before, I like them all, so going by what I think adds the least to the game, I say duskblade: I like the fighting mage as a core class, but there are other ways of accomplishing the same thing, so it's not strictly necissary.

    Non-Core Class Survivor: Round 13

I like them all, but at this point I'm thinking "which class adds the least to the game"? My answer is archivist, even though I really love the flavor of that class.

    Non-Core Class Survivor: Round 11

Gak; I can't believe that psion is tied for the loss with the knight! I like the knight for the most part, but I think the psion is more valuable and has proven itself as a worthy class. Save the psion and vote off the knight! :D

What is THE iconic Gnome Class?

In 1e, I thought thge perfect Gnome class combo was the Illusionist/Thief: the ultimate trickster. In 3.5, I thought the Illusionist/Rogue/arcane trickster fit the bill best, though it was harder to qualify for since favored class changed from illusionist to bard. Now, with thew PHB II, I...

So, who has played a Warlock?

Thanks everyone. I'm not the one thinking of playing a warlock (not my cup of tea), but I have a player for a new game I'll be starting that is thinking of doing so. If he does, I'll pass along some of these suggestions.

How do you feel about DM PCs?

I saw DM PCs listed as an annoyance in the "DM Schticks That Grind Your Gears" thread. As a DM who has occasionally run a character that adventures alongside the party, I'm curious as to why this is annoying to some. Is it the overall concept, or is it a case where the DM is too nice to his...
